Cold Atmospheric Plasma‐Activated Decellularized Extracellular Matrix Gel as a Tumor‐Infiltrating Immunoactivation Platform for Post‐Surgical Cancer Immunotherapy

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
An injectable cold atmospheric plasma‐activated decellularized tumor extracellular matrix hydrogel is introduced as a post‐surgical immunoactivation platform. The engineered gel attracts residual tumor cells and induces immunogenic cell death, reshaping the tumor microenvironment and eliciting systemic antitumor immunity. In combination with checkpoint

Invariant points of semi-active suspensions

open access: yesAdvances in Mechanical Engineering, 2018
The invariant points of the quarter vehicle model shape many properties concerned in vehicle suspension design. Although they have been studied for years, the invariant points are still confusing for their different traits.

Supporting brace sizing in structures with added linear viscous fluid dampers: A filter design solution [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
Viscous fluid dampers have proved to be effective in suppressing unwanted vibrations in a range of engineering structures. When dampers are fitted in a structure, a brace is typically used to attach them to the main structure. The stiffness of this brace

Positively Charged Polymer‐Brush MOFs for Large‐Area, Pressure‐Resistant Gas Separation Membranes

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A universal POPA strategy enables positively charged polymer‐brush MOFs with self‐adaptive interfacial interlocking to resist aggregation under fast processing. This design ensures seamless dispersion within large‐area selective layers, achieving 1 m‐wide roll‐to‐roll fabrication of pressure‐resistant MMCMs with tunable CO2 separation performance ...

Leg prosthesises with active damping

open access: yesJournal of Dynamics and Vibroacoustics
The article considers various types of leg prosthesises with active damping based on pneumatic, hydraulic and electric drives. For each type of drive used, its advantages and disadvantages, features of design solutions were described with the aim of further selecting a prototype from existing knee modules of leading manufacturers to develop a domestic ...

Active Damping Based on Decoupled Collocated Control

open access: yesIEEE/ASME Transactions on Mechatronics, 2005
Robust stability of controlled mechanical systems is often obtained using collocated actuator-sensor-pairs. Collocation enables the implementation of a passive control law, which is robustly stable, irrespective of structural modeling errors. Within the context of vibration control, this knowledge is used to obtain robust active damping.
