Active Fault Diagnosis for Linear Systems: Within a Signal Processing Framework
IEEE Transactions on Instrumentation and Measurement, 2022Compared with passive fault diagnosis (PFD) techniques, the research on active fault diagnosis (AFD) techniques is insufficient. The existing AFD methods generally include set-based method, Bayesian approach, and so on.

Active Fault Isolation of Over-Actuated Systems Based on a Control Allocation Approach
IEEE Transactions on Instrumentation and Measurement, 2022Active fault diagnosis is one of the latest frontiers in the field of fault diagnosis, which can improve fault diagnosis performance by redesigning the control input for specific faults.

A Neural Adaptive Approach for Active Fault-Tolerant Control Design in UAV
IEEE Transactions on Systems, Man, and Cybernetics: Systems, 2020Faults in aircraft actuators can cause serious issues in safety. Due to the autonomous nature of the unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), faults can lead to more serious problems in these systems.

Abstract Geologically young displacements have been observed along 24 faults in an area of Alaska of approximately 624,000 km 2 . Active faults of southern Alaska include the Patton Bay and Hanning Bay reverse-slip faults, both reactivated in 1964. The Fairweather strike-slip fault experienced surface faulting in 1958 and possibly in 1899.

Active Fault Tolerant Control for Unmanned Underwater Vehicle With Sensor Faults
IEEE Transactions on Instrumentation and Measurement, 2020In this article, we propose an active fault tolerant control (FTC) scheme to achieve trajectory tracking for unmanned underwater vehicle (UUV) subject to sensor faults and multiple uncertainties (including external disturbances and modeling errors).

Active Fault-Tolerant Control With Imperfect Fault Detection Information: Applications to UAVs
IEEE Transactions on Aerospace and Electronic Systems, 2020A major issue in active fault-tolerant control (FTC) is having to rely on uncertain information provided by the fault detection and identification (FDI) algorithm.

Fault severity in models of fault-correction activity
IEEE Transactions on Reliability, 1995This study applies canonical correlation analysis to investigate the relationships between source-code (SC) complexity and fault-correction (FC) activity. Product and process measures collected during the development of a commercial real-time product provide the data for this analysis. Sets of variables represent SC complexity and FC activity.
