Research on Active Filters and Passive Filters.

Science and Technology of Engineering, Chemistry and Environmental Protection
Active filters have been a cornerstone of electronic engineering since their inception in the mid-20th century. As technology has advanced, these components have become increasingly sophisticated and integral to a wide range of applications, from audio equipment to telecommunications. This article introduces two types of active filters, active low-pass

Active filters tuning interface

2018 International Conference on IC Design & Technology (ICICDT), 2018
A complete system for automated control and test of RF tunable circuits is presented in this paper. The proposed system has been conceived to calibrate and tune variable active filters, but without lack of generality, it is suitable to be used for any voltage-controlled active circuit.

Design of LCL-Filter with Active Damping for Active Power Filter

Applied Mechanics and Materials, 2013
In this paper, the influence of gird-side and inverter-side inductance on LCL-filter performance is studied. The design method of LCL-filter applied in three-phase shunt active power filter (SAPF) is proposed. An active damping strategy using the current feedback of the filter capacitor is adopted to suppress the resonance.

Biological activation of carbon filters

Water Research, 2006
To prepare biological activated carbon (BAC), raw surface water was circulated through granular activated carbon (GAC) beds. Biological activity of carbon filters was initiated after about 6 months of filter operation and was confirmed by two methods: measurement of the amount of biomass attached to the carbon and by the fluorescein diacetate (FDA ...

Novel transformer active filters

IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics, 1993
Novel transformer active filters are proposed to obtain high attenuation of voltage or current ripple without deteriorating the transient response of the system considered. Experimental results show that the scheme gives good steady-state performance of the power supply. >

Active polyphase filter analysis

Proceedings of 2010 IEEE International Symposium on Circuits and Systems, 2010
This paper describes the analysis and design of active polyphase filters. Analysis for 1- and 2-stage filters are carried out in this paper with simplified transconductance models. Gain and stability, which differentiate the active and passive filters, are analyzed and presented as a function of the key design parameters of the transconductance element

A notch filter based active damping of llcl filter in shunt active power filter

2017 International Symposium on Power Electronics (Ee), 2017
Shunt Active Power Filter (APF) is a custom power device applied in electric grid system in order to compensate harmonic currents generated by nonlinear loads. Shunt APF operates by firing power electronic devices of voltage source inverter (VSI) to produce the compensation currents. The VSI also generates high frequency switching ripple harmonics that

Approximating Fractional Filters With Analogue Active Filter Structures

2019 42nd International Conference on Telecommunications and Signal Processing (TSP), 2019
To practically implement a fractional-order filter, an integer-order approximation has to be realised as either digital or analog electronic circuits. Several implementation methods exist, each of them revealing different advantages. This paper considers the performance of analog active filters got with two implementation methods.

Extended active optical lattice filters: filter synthesis

Journal of the Optical Society of America A, 2010
In this paper, we study the synthesis of asymptotically stable filters from a unit cell of a two-dimensional tunable lattice filter architecture consisting of four four-port couplers and four waveguides containing semiconductor optical amplifiers. Upper bounds on the number of gains that will produce a filter with a priori prescribed poles, for a ...
