Active flow control applied to an airfoil
36th AIAA Aerospace Sciences Meeting and Exhibit, 1998Results of numerical simulations of active flow control applied to an airfoil using the Reynoldsaveraged Navier-Stokes equations are presented. The simulations are first compared with the poststall separation control experiments of Seifert et al.1'12 on a NACA0015 at 1.2 x 106 chord Reynolds number.

Active Flow Control Strategies and Tools for Turbulent Flows
2019In this chapter we present considerations on the impact of the turbulence characteristics of most flows of industrial interest on the flow control interpretations or strategies. In the second part we will give an overview of the CFD approaches, including actuator integration methods.

Active Control of Flows with Trapped Vortices
2009An approach to developing active control strategies for high Reynolds number flows with trapped vortices is presented. The problem considered is the stabilisation of the vortex in a special cavity on the airfoil using suction as an actuator. The flow dynamics are modelled by the parallel discrete vortex method capable of handling wall irregularities ...

Test-activity flow control for SOA execution test
The 16th North-East Asia Symposium on Nano, Information Technology and Reliability, 2011Electronic collaboration over the Internet between business partners appear to be converging toward well-established types of message exchange patterns that involve both user-defined standards and infrastructure standards. At the same time, the notion of event is increasingly promoted for asynchronous communication and coordination in SOA systems.

Flow and Turbulence Characteristics of Separated Flows with Active Control
1998Abstract : Experiments have been carried out in plane and axisymmetric sudden-expansion flows to quantify velocity characteristics in isothermal and reacting flows and temperature and emission characteristics in the reacting flows, to establish flammability and stability limits, to determine the acoustic characteristics and their importance to large ...
