The First Triple Radio Active Galactic Nucleus in an Ongoing Galaxy Merger

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal Letters
Galaxy mergers are predicted to be a critical stage of merger-driven SMBH growth and galaxy evolution. Systems exhibiting multiple active galactic nuclei (AGN) are an important observational tool for constraining the prevalence and properties of merging ...

Self‐Healing Materials from Electronically Integrated Microscopic Robots

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, Volume 8, Issue 1, January 2026.
Submillimeter robots can use electronically controlled electrodeposition to assemble into a material structure. The resulting aggregate possesses ultralow density, high strength‐to‐weight ratio, and can heal from damage. Further afield, these results clear a path to materials that organize or adapt by directing matter and information at the microscale.

The DELVE Quadruple Quasar Search. I. A Lensed Low-luminosity Active Galactic Nucleus

open access: yesThe Astronomical Journal
A quadruply lensed source, J125856.3–031944, has been discovered using the DELVE survey and Wide-field Infrared Survey Explorer W1–W2 colors. Follow-up direct imaging carried out with the Magellan Baade 6.5 m telescope is analyzed, as is spectroscopy ...

A Proposed Circular Economy Readiness Framework for the Rail Sector, A Literature Review and Conceptual Framework

open access: yesBusiness Strategy and the Environment, Volume 35, Issue 1, Page 1076-1096, January 2026.
ABSTRACT The circular economy (CE) offers a transformative approach to addressing global sustainability challenges, yet few frameworks integrate it with business strategy, systems thinking (ST) and asset management (AM), especially within critical infrastructure sectors like rail. This paper conducts a comprehensive literature review to assess existing

Systematic Analysis of Changing-Look Active Galactic Nucleus Variability Using ZTF Light Curves

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal
Changing-look active galactic nuclei (CLAGNs) are a unique population of AGNs that exhibit the appearance (turn-on) or disappearance (turn-off) of broad emission lines.

AGN/Starburst Connection

open access: yesActa Polytechnica CTU Proceedings, 2014
Two main physical processes characterize the activity in the nuclear region of active galaxies: an intense star formation (starburst, SB) and an Active Galactic Nucleus (AGN).

Dissecting Photometric Redshift for Active Galactic Nucleus Using XMM- and Chandra-COSMOS Samples [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
In this paper, we release accurate photometric redshifts for 1692 counterparts to Chandra sources in the central square degree of the Cosmic Evolution Survey (COSMOS) field. The availability of a large training set of spectroscopic redshifts that extends

A new delivery route to Galactic Nuclei: Warm halo cloud impacts

open access: yes, 2010
We propose a new mechanism for the delivery of gas to the heart of galactic nuclei. We show that warm halo clouds must periodically impact galactic centers and potentially deliver a large (~10^{4-6} M_{solar}) mass of gas to the galactic nucleus in a ...

Mechanistic Understanding of Laser‐Induced Defect Engineering of Anisotropic Cobalt Oxide Spinel Platelets in Water

open access: yesChemCatChem, Volume 18, Issue 1, 15 January 2026.
Pulsed laser defect engineering in liquid (PUDEL) modifies anisotropic Co3O4 platelets by inducing lattice distortions and defects while enriching {111} surfaces with hydroxyl groups and tunes the catalytic activity of the Co3O4 platelets in electrocatalytic oxygen evolution and thermocatalytic selective oxidation reactions.
