Ultrafast Laser Synthesis of Zeolites
The study presents a novel ultrafast laser‐driven synthesis technique for zeolites directly in liquid. Laser pulses create a microscopic reactor that controls reaction kinetics at femto‐ and picosecond timescales. Nonlinear light‐matter interactions drive nucleation and growth, allowing the process to be paused at any stage of self‐assembly.

Prior-informed Active Galactic Nucleus Host Spectral Decomposition Using PyQSOFit
We introduce an improved method for decomposing the emission of active galactic nuclei (AGN) and their host galaxies using templates from principal component analysis (PCA).

The weak Fe fluorescence line and long-term X-ray evolution of the Compton-thick active galactic nucleus in NGC 7674 [PDF]
We present NuSTAR X-ray observations of the active galactic nucleus (AGN) in NGC 7674. The source shows a flat X-ray spectrum, suggesting that it is obscured by Compton-thick gas columns.

How to Manufacture Photonic Metamaterials
Metamaterials boast applications such as invisibility and “hyperlenses” with resolution beyond the diffraction limit, but these applications haven’t been exploited in earnest and the market for them hasn’t grown much likely because facile and economical methods for fabricating them without defect has not emerged.

ACTIVE GALACTIC NUCLEUS HOST GALAXY MORPHOLOGIES IN COSMOS [PDF]
We use HST/ACS images and a photometric catalog of the COSMOS field to analyze morphologies of the host galaxies of approximately 400 AGN candidates at redshifts 0.3 < z < 1.0. We compare the AGN hosts with a sample of non-active galaxies drawn from the COSMOS field to match the magnitude and redshift distribution of the AGN hosts. We perform 2-D

Active galactic nucleus and dwarf galaxy gas kinematics [PDF]
ABSTRACT We present spatially resolved kinematic measurements of stellar and ionized gas components of dwarf galaxies in the stellar mass range $10^{8.5}\!-\!10^{10} \, \mathrm{M}_{\odot }$, selected from Sloan Digital Sky Survey DR7 and DR8 and followed up with Keck/Low-Resolution Imaging Spectrometer spectroscopy.

Retrograde infall of the intergalactic gas onto S-galaxy and activity of galactic nuclei
We present the results of numerical simulations focused on the accretion of intergalactic gas onto a gas-rich S-type disc galaxy. Our investigation explores the conditions favouring the emergence of counterrotating stellar and gaseous components within ...

Studying a centi-parsec supermassive black hole binary (SMBHB) would allow us to explore a new parameter space in active galactic nuclei, and these objects are also potential sources of gravitational waves.

Shedding Light on the Compton-thick Active Galactic Nucleus in the Ultraluminous Infrared Galaxy UGC 5101 with Broadband X-Ray Spectroscopy [PDF]
We report the broadband X-ray spectra of the ultraluminous infrared galaxy (ULIRG) UGC 5101 in the 0.25–100 keV band observed with the Swift/Burst Alert Telescope (BAT), Nuclear Spectroscopic Telescope Array (NuSTAR), Suzaku, XMM-Newton, and Chandra.
