Pathogenic Characteristics of Shrimp Early Mortality Syndrome (EMS)‐Causing Vibrio parahaemolyticus: A Comparative Transcriptomic Study Suggests the Relationship Between Metabolic Fitness and Virulence Gene Expression

To understand the disease‐causing characteristics of Vibrio parahaemolyticus in shrimp EMS, this comparative gene expression study analysed pathogenic (AHPND 5HP and non‐AHPND 2HP) and non‐pathogenic (S02) strains. Pathogenic strains shared similar expression profiles, distinct from the non‐pathogen.

Variations of the Virome in Raw and Treated Water: A One‐Year Follow‐Up at Six Different Drinking Water Treatment Plants

Overview of microbial diversity and environmental drivers in Icelandic deep basaltic aquifers. Using 16S rRNA gene metabarcoding across 22 geothermal wells spanning broad temperature, pH, and bedrock‐age gradients, the study reveals distinct bacterial and archaeal community structures shaped by temperature, pH, and host‐rock reactivity.
