Fairness-Oriented Volt–Watt Control Methods of PV Units for Over-Voltage Suppression in PV-Enriched Smart Cities

open access: yesSmart Cities
The higher integration of photovoltaic (PV) units is an inevitable component of smart city development. Thanks to smart meter devices that can record the exchange of power between the grid and customers, it is expected that homeowners and businesses will

Metastasis on pause: How dormant tumor cells stay hidden within the tumor microenvironment and evade immune surveillance

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Dormant cancer cells can hide in distant organs for years, evading treatment and the immune system. This review highlights how signals from the surrounding tissue and immune environment keep these cells inactive or trigger their reawakening. Understanding these mechanisms may help develop therapies to eliminate or control dormant cells and prevent ...

DNA methylation and expression of MAPRE3 affect overall survival of early‐stage non‐small cell lung cancer patients

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Both cg12821679MAPRE3 methylation and MAPRE3 expression are significantly associated with overall survival (OS) of non‐small cell lung cancer. Meanwhile, MAPRE3 expression significantly modified the effect of smoking cessation on OS. Smoking cessation benefits OS merely for patients with high MAPRE3 expression.

Evaluation of Distributed Photovoltaic Economic Access Capacity in Distribution Networks Considering Proper Photovoltaic Power Curtailment

open access: yesEnergies
The high proportion of distributed photovoltaic (DPV) access has changed the traditional distribution network structure and operation mode, posing a huge threat to the stable operation and economy of the distribution network.

A novel quinazolinone insulin receptor inhibitor and its synergy with an EGFR inhibitor in glucose‐driven glioblastoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The novel styrylquinazolinone‐based molecule W1B effectively suppresses glioblastoma by inhibiting IGF1R and EGFR. In high‐glucose microenvironments driving tumor resistance, W1B acts synergistically with the EGFR inhibitor dacomitinib. This combination safely blocks compensatory survival signaling in zebrafish xenograft models. Showcasing promising in

Distributed PV auxiliary voltage control strategy in low voltage distribution network based on small AC signals

open access: yesScience and Technology for Energy Transition
In order to solve the problem of power flow to the distribution network and voltage overstep caused by the high proportion of distributed PV access, this paper proposes a coordinated voltage regulation strategy leveraging the reactive-active power ...

A Study of Uncertain Wind Power in Active-Reactive Optimal Power Flow [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
Wind power fluctuates with time and it is reasonable to regard it as a random variable. Recently, an active-reactive optimal power flow (A-R-OPF) method in active distribution networks with wind stations has been developed to handle the problem of wind ...

Flow-based nodal cost allocation in a heterogeneous highly renewable European electricity network

open access: yes, 2018
For a cost efficient design of a future renewable European electricity system, the placement of renewable generation capacity will seek to exploit locations with good resource quality, that is for instance onshore wind in countries bordering the North ...

Tumor B‐cell infiltration in platinum‐treated advanced muscle‐invasive urothelial carcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Bladder tumors with higher pretreatment memory B‐cell infiltration were linked to longer survival after cisplatin chemotherapy, but not carboplatin. These tumors also showed more organized immune structures (tertiary lymphoid structures) and a shared pro‐inflammatory B‐cell‐rich community, suggesting that memory B cells may help identify patients most ...

Epigenetic heterogeneity and plasticity in therapy‐induced tumor states through single‐cell multi‐omics

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Single‐cell multi‐omics reveals epigenetic heterogeneity across therapy‐adaptive tumor states, including quiescent/dormant, drug‐tolerant persister, and EMT‐like phenotypes. By linking regulatory features with state‐associated biomarkers, these approaches inform biomarker‐guided therapeutic strategies for evolving tumors.
