Piezo actuator layout optimization with SRS constraint for semi-active vibration control system

open access: yesNihon Kikai Gakkai ronbunshu, 2015
Vibration suppression is one of the most important problems in the design and operation of space structures. Due to limited launch capabilities, such structures need to be extremely light-weight although some structures succumb to vibrations because of ...

Active Vibration Control Through Quasi-Polynomial Based Controller

open access: yesIFAC-PapersOnLine, 2019
Abstract This paper is about the problem of the vibration damping for a thin flexible beam, with an Euler-Bernoulli configuration, thanks to a new type of output feedback controller based on delayed proportional actions. The considered beam is equipped with two piezoelectric patches: one of them works as a sensor and the other as an actuator.

TRAIL‐PEG‐Apt‐PLGA nanosystem as an aptamer‐targeted drug delivery system potential for triple‐negative breast cancer therapy using in vivo mouse model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.

Research on the controller of an active vibration isolation unit for underwater crushing operations

open access: yesScientific Reports
Since passive vibration isolation is used to solve the vibration problem of the underwater crushing device is difficult to isolate the low-frequency vibration effectively, and most of the active control methods usually focus on cutting down the vibration

Raman‐based label‐free microscopic analysis of the pancreas in living zebrafish larvae

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Forward stimulated Raman scattering (F‐SRS) and epi coherent anti‐Stokes Raman scattering (E‐CARS) allow label‐free discrimination of distinct subcellular structures in the pancreas of living zebrafish larvae. Given the straightforward applicability, we anticipate broad implementation of Raman microscopy in other organs and across various biomedical ...

Vibration control strategies for proof-mass actuators [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
Proof-mass actuators have been considered for a broad range of structural vibration control problems, from seismic protection for tall buildings to the improvement of metal machining productivity by stabilizing the self-excited vibrations known as ...

Enzymatic degradation of biopolymers in amorphous and molten states: mechanisms and applications

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
This review explains how polymer morphology and thermal state shape enzymatic degradation pathways, comparing amorphous and molten biopolymer structures. By integrating structure–reactivity principles with insights from thermodynamics and enzyme engineering, it highlights mechanisms that enable efficient polymer breakdown.

Polarization‐resolved femtosecond Vis/IR spectroscopy tailored for resolving weak signals in biological samples using minimal sample volume

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Unique biological samples, such as site‐specific mutant proteins, are available only in limited quantities. Here, we present a polarization‐resolved transient infrared spectroscopy setup with referencing to improve signal‐to‐noise tailored towards tracing small signals. We provide an overview of characterizing the excitation conditions for polarization‐

Robust and fast schemes in broadband active noise and vibration control [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
This thesis presents robust and fast active control algorithms for the suppression of broadband noise and vibration disturbances. Noise disturbances, e.g., generated by engines in airplanes and cars or by air ow, can be reduced by means of passive or ...

Mechanochemical Synthesis and Characterization of Nanostructured ErB4 and NdB4 Rare‐Earth Tetraborides

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, Volume 27, Issue 6, March 2025.
ErB4 and NdB4 nanostructured powders are produced by mechanochemical synthesis. 5 h mechanical alloying and 4 M HCl acid leaching are used in the production. ErB4 and NdB4 powders exhibit maximum magnetization of 0.4726 emu g−1 accompanied with an antiferromagnetic‐to‐paramagnetic phase transition at about TN = 18 K and 0.132 emu g−1 with a maximum at ...
