Current studies on biomarkers of acupuncture analgesia using magnetic resonance imaging combining with machine learning

open access: yes针刺研究, 2021
Acupuncture is effective for the management and treatment of pain related diseases. At present, the patients' subjective evaluations were often used to measure the effect of acupuncture analgesia in clinical research, but it lacks objectivity and ...

Multi‐Omics Profiling Reveals Immunomodulatory and Pro‐Regenerative Effects of a Graphene Oxide–Collagen Scaffold in Massive Rotator Cuff Tears

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A graphene oxide/collagen scaffold is developed for chronic massive rotator cuff tear repair. The scaffold improves compressive stability, supports reparative mesenchymal differentiation, and modulates the immune microenvironment. In chronic MRCT models, it reduces muscle degeneration, enhances tendon–bone regeneration, and improves functional recovery,

Methodological problems in fMRI studies on acupuncture: a critical review with special emphasis on visual and auditory cortex activations

open access: yes, 2011
Functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) has been used for more than a decade to investigate possible supraspinal mechanisms of acupuncture stimulation. More than 60 studies and several review articles have been published on the topic.

Plasma Lidocaine Concentrations During Intravenous Lidocaine Infusion Therapy in the Pediatric Population—A Scoping Review

open access: yesPediatric Anesthesia, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Intravenous lidocaine therapy (IVLT) is often used in perioperative multimodal analgesia due to its analgesic, anti‐hyperalgesic, and anti‐inflammatory effects. In adults, IVLT doses of 1–2 mg/kg/h produce plasma concentrations of 1–2 μg/mL, within the presumed therapeutic range of 1–5 μg/mL.

Core stability in women with and without chronic pelvic pain

open access: yesPM&R, EarlyView.
Abstract Background Physical activity (PA) and core stability levels are unknown for women with musculoskeletal chronic pelvic pain (CPP) compared to healthy women. At this time, there is no validated treatment method aimed specifically at CPP. Objective To elucidate the PA habits and core stability of women with and without CPP.
