ABSTRACT Acute pancreatitis stemming from IgG4‐Related Disease (IgG4‐RD) seldom coincides with Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE), highlighting the importance of investigating autoimmune conditions in patients with IgG4‐RD. We present the case of a 57‐year‐old male with a medical history notable for hypertension, photosensitivity, arthritis, and malar ...

A Dihedral Acute Triangulation of the Cube [PDF]
It is shown that there exists a dihedral acute triangulation of the three-dimensional cube. The method of constructing the acute triangulation is described, and symmetries of the triangulation are discussed.

Abstract Objectives Endoscopic lithotripsy and elective cholecystectomy, followed by endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography, are the first‐line treatments for patients with common bile duct (CBD) stones (CBDS) and gallstones. However, this approach entails acute cholecystitis and recurrent cholangitis risk while patients await surgery. We aimed

Differentiation of acute cholecystitis from chronic cholecystitis
The purpose of this study was to determine the diagnostic value of multidetector computed tomography (MDCT) imaging findings, to identify the most predictive findings, and to assess diagnostic performance in the diagnosis and differentiation of acute ...

Acute sets of exponentially optimal size [PDF]
We present a simple construction of an acute set of size $2^{d-1}+1$ in $\mathbb{R}^d$ for any dimension $d$. That is, we explicitly give $2^{d-1}+1$ points in the $d$-dimensional Euclidean space with the property that any three points form an acute triangle. It is known that the maximal number of such points is less than $2^d$.

A Case of Concomitant Perforated Acute Cholecystitis and Pancreatitis [PDF]
Introduction. Concomitant cholecystitis and gallstone pancreatitis is an infrequent clinical encounter, reported sparsely in the literature. Concurrent acute cholecystitis and pancreatitis complicated by gall bladder perforation has not been reported ...

Abstract Objective Limitations are sometimes encountered in the application of laparoscopic cholecystectomy to the treatment of acute cholecystitis. Endoscopic gallbladder stenting (EGBS) has emerged as an additional option. However, the long‐term stent patency remains an issue.
