LONG-TERM RESULTS OF CORONARY ARTERY BYPASS GRAFTING IN PATIENTS WITH ACUTE CORONARY SYNDROME

open access: yesНеотложная медицинская помощь, 2017
. We analyzed long-term results of coronary artery bypass grafting in patients with acute coronary syndrome. In 2002–2014, 489 patients with acute coronary syndrome underwent surgical myocardial revascularization. Information for analysis was obtained by

Hypverventilation strain CMR imaging in patients with acute chest pain

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2022
In patients with suspected acute coronary syndrome high-sensitivity cardiac tropnonin T is used for rapid patient triage. Some acute coronary syndrome patients assigned to the observe zone based on high-sensitivity cardiac troponin T after 1 h require ...

Multivalent Protein Nanorings for Broad and Potent SARS‐CoV‐2 Neutralization

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
A protein‐only, modular multivalent nanoscaffold displaying 20 anchor points, decorated with two different binders (10 of each), targeting the SARS‐CoV‐2 receptor‐binding domain is presented. The construct self‐assembles into stable, biocompatible, homogeneous nanoparticles, exhibit synergistic binding with fM IC50 values. It also detects spike at 9 ng

Describing suspected non ST-elevation acute coronary syndrome using troponin at a regional, public South African emergency centre with the Roche cardiac reader

open access: yesSA Heart Journal, 2018
Background: There are few data available regarding acute coronary syndrome presenting to emergency centres in sub-Saharan Africa compared to the rest of the world.

Analysis of the blood bacterial composition of patients with acute coronary syndrome and chronic coronary syndrome

open access: yesFrontiers in Cellular and Infection Microbiology, 2022
Emerging evidence revealed that the blood microbiota plays a role in several non-communicable diseases, including cardiovascular disease. However, the role of circulating microbes in atherosclerosis remains understudied.

Smart Catheters for Diagnosis, Monitoring, and Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
This study presents a comprehensive review of smart catheters, an emerging class of medical devices that integrate embedded sensors, robotics, and communication systems, offering increased functionality and complexity to enable real‐time health monitoring, diagnostics, and treatment. Abstract This review explores smart catheters as an emerging class of

Ultrasound‐Boosted Liposomal Prodrug Overcomes Age‐Associated Biodistribution Disparity in Pediatric Solid Tumor Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The age‐associated disparity of nanocarrier biodistribution limits the nanotherapeutics of childhood solid tumors. This study developed an ultrasound‐activated liposomal prodrug (CSCPTL) to overcome the age‐associated disparity of off‐target distribution.

Mendelian Randomization and Double Machine Learning Modeling Reveal Brain Imaging‐Derived Phenotypes as Functional Contributors to 18 Autoimmune Inflammatory Diseases

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This schematic integrates the eight statistically significant causal relationships identified between 1,366 brain imaging‐derived phenotypes (IDPs) and 18 autoimmune inflammatory diseases (AIDs). Arrows indicate the direction of causality inferred from bidirectional two‐sample MR analyses.

Almanac 2013: acute coronary syndromes [PDF]

open access: yesAnadolu Kardiyoloji Dergisi/The Anatolian Journal of Cardiology, 2013
Unstable coronary artery plaque is the most common underlying cause of acute coronary syndromes (ACS) and can manifest as unstable angina, non-ST segment elevation infarction (NSTE-ACS), and ST elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI), but can also manifest as sudden cardiac arrest due to ischaemia induced tachyarrhythmias.

Neuroprotective Effects of Time‐Restricted Feeding Combined With Different Protein Sources in MPTP‐Induced Parkinson's Disease Mice Model and Its Modulatory Impact on Gut Microbiota Metabolism

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Time‐restricted feeding (TRF) exerts protein‐dependent neuroprotective effects in an MPTP‐induced Parkinson's disease model. In casein‐fed mice, TRF improves gut barrier integrity and reduces neuroinflammation, possibly via modulation of Allobaculum and BCAAs.
