Bacteriuria in children with acute febrile illnesses
The Journal of Pediatrics, 1963The urine of 82 acutely ill febrile children was examined microscopically and by quantitative urine culture for evidence of infection. The clinical diagnosis of urinary tract infection was confirmed in one patient; no unsuspected infections were discovered.

Acute febrile illness with choreoathetosis: a rare presentation of brucellosis
Postgraduate Medical Journal, 2022A 15-year-old Indian girl presented with fever and involuntary movements of the limbs and face of about a weeks’ duration. These stereotypic choreoathetosis movements involved both upper limbs, lower limbs and face (figure 1A,B; video 1). No other neurological deficits were noted and cardiorespiratory, abdominal examinations were normal.

Southern Medical Journal, 1989High fever occurred in a 30-year-old woman five weeks after transsphenoidal hypophysectomy for a pituitary adenoma. Extensive investigation failed to reveal any evidence of infection, and the clinical findings suggested the fever to be a manifestation of steroid withdrawal.
