Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia Detection and Classification of Its Subtypes Using Pretrained Deep Convolutional Neural Networks

open access: yesTechnology in Cancer Research and Treatment, 2018
Leukemia is a fatal disease of white blood cells which affects the blood and bone marrow in human body. We deployed deep convolutional neural network for automated detection of acute lymphoblastic leukemia and classification of its subtypes into 4 ...

Progress in Surface Plasmon and Other Resonance Biosensors for Biomedical Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
This is the shortened version: Recent advancements in surface plasmon resonance and other optical resonance biosensors for biomedical applications are presented. Advanced sensing strategies are examined for the detection of diverse analytes, integration of nanomaterials and machine learning, and emerging nonplasmonic modes like guided mode resonance ...

Patients with treated indolent lymphomas immunized with BNT162b2 have reduced anti‐spike neutralizing IgG to SARS‐CoV‐2 variants, but preserved antigen‐specific T cell responses

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Hematology, Volume 98, Issue 1, Page 131-139, January 2023., 2023
Abstract Patients with indolent lymphoma undertaking recurrent or continuous B cell suppression are at risk of severe COVID‐19. Patients and healthy controls (HC; N = 13) received two doses of BNT162b2: follicular lymphoma (FL; N = 35) who were treatment naïve (TN; N = 11) or received immunochemotherapy (ICT; N = 23) and Waldenström's macroglobulinemia

Activity of a specific inhibitor of the BCR-ABL tyrosine kinase in the blast crisis of chronic myeloid leukemia and acute lymphoblastic leukemia with the Philadelphia chromosome.

open access: yesNew England Journal of Medicine, 2001
BACKGROUND BCR-ABL, a constitutively activated tyrosine kinase, is the product of the Philadelphia chromosome. This enzyme is present in virtually all cases of chronic myeloid leukemia (CML) throughout the course of the disease, and in 20 percent of ...

Autologous Peripheral Vγ9Vδ2 T Cell Synergizes with αβ T Cell Through Antigen Presentation and BTN3A1 Blockade in Immunotherapy of Cervical Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study provides proof‐of‐concept evidence showing that through direct killing, antigen presentation, and competitively binding to BTN3A1, Vγ9Vδ2 T cells amplified from cervical cancer (CC) patients can synergize with αβ T cells to exert anti‐CC function both in vitro and in vivo.

Blockade of ZMIZ1‐GATA4 Axis Regulation Restores Youthfulness to Aged Cartilage

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The blockade of ZMIZ1‐GATA axis can be an effective therapeutic approach for treating OA. Functional inhibition of the ZMIZ1‐GATA axis through K‐7174 has the effect of suppressing cartilage damage and cellular senescence at the chondrocyte and cartilage tissue levels.

Lovo‐cel gene therapy for sickle cell disease: Treatment process evolution and outcomes in the initial groups of the HGB‐206 study

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Hematology, Volume 98, Issue 1, Page 11-22, January 2023., 2023
Treatment process evolution. *The target TNC for BMH was ≥6 × 108/kg per patient. The Group B1 patient received lovo‐cel produced using both the original and refined manufacturing process, and the Group B2 patient received lovo‐cel produced using only the refined manufacturing process.
