Peritoneal dialysis in acute kidney injury
2015The advent of intermittent and continuous haemodialysis meant that peritoneal dialysis was progressively neglected for treatment of acute kidney injury. However, peritoneal dialysis has some specific features making it a suitable treatment in certain indications, such as risk of bleeding, neurosurgery, or haemodynamically unstable patients.
