Acute Appendicitis Masquerading as Acute Scrotum

Acute appendicitis presents typically with periumbilical pain that in a few hours settles at the right lower quadrant of the abdomen. Atypical presentations are common but association with acute scrotum is an extreme rarity.

Scrotoschisis: A rare cause of acute scrotum in neonates

An elderly male patient with extramammary Paget disease of the scrotum and multiple metastases was treated with fractionated FLASH‐RT (40 Gy in 5 fractions) in the scrotal lesion. Abstract Objective Ultrahigh‐dose‐rate radiotherapy (FLASH‐RT) has been shown to reduce radiation‐induced normal tissue injury in preclinical studies.
