High‐Power Rapid Laser‐Induced Synthesis of Multi‐functional Cobalt Metal‐Organic Framework With an Unprecedented Synthesis Efficiency

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Laser‐assisted synthesis enables rapid (within 1 h) and high‐yield (≥90%) production of Co‐MOFs with mesoporous structures, tunable magnetic and optical properties, and efficient adsorption of N2, CH4, and CO2 for low‐energy gas separation. DFT calculations elucidate the electronic structure and adsorption behavior.

Cap‐oPMN: Oral Inflammatory Load Quantification Using Capillary Microfluidics and Automated Image Processing

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Quantifying oral polymorphonuclear neutrophils (oPMNs) is a clinically validated approach for assessing periodontal inflammation. However, current methods, such as manual hemocytometry and flow cytometry, are time‐consuming (>3 h), require invasive sampling, and depend on staining and complex instrumentation, making them unsuitable for point ...

Reversible detrusor acontractility associated with heavy cannabis use: A case report

open access: yesUrology Case Reports
Cannabinoids affect lower urinary tract function, but clinical evidence linking cannabis to urinary retention is limited. We report a 22-year-old healthy male with acute urinary retention and isolated detrusor acontractility despite normal neurological ...

A rare cause of acute urinary retention: Anterior urethral stones

open access: yesMedicine Science, 2019
Anterior urethra stones are extremely rare causes of acute urinary retention. The data of 34 adult patients who presented with acute urinary retention between August 2011 and September 2017 and treated with anterior urethra were evaluated retrospectively.

Subchronic dietary exposure of rats to cadmium alters the metabolism of metals essential to bone health [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
Cadmium (Cd) was recently identified as a risk factor for osteoporosis. Skeletal damage may be the critical effect of low-level long-term exposure to Cd in the general population exposed via food, but the mechanisms behind this are not clearly understood.
