A Concept Language Model for Ad-hoc Retrieval [PDF]
We propose an extension to language models for information retrieval. Typically, language models estimate the probability of a document generating the query, where the query is considered as a set of independent search terms. We extend this approach by considering the concepts implied by both the query and words in the document.

Increasing the Performance of Reactive Routing Protocol using the Load Balancing and Congestion Control Mechanism in MANET [PDF]
Nowadays, routing and the improvement of reliability along with the load balancing and congestion control are the most important and challenging concepts in ad-hoc networks. However, there are some constraints in the bandwidth and the communication range

Paralanguage and ad hoc concepts
Abstract Ad hoc concept construction is regarded as a case of free pragmatic enrichment, so it is presented as a non-linguistically mandated process that is automatically accomplished during mutual parallel adjustment. Recent research suggests that this lexical pragmatic process may be marked and steered by various linguistic elements.

A coherentist conception of ad hoc hypotheses [PDF]
What does it mean for a hypothesis to be ad hoc? One prominent account has it that ad hoc hypotheses have no independent empirical support. Others have viewed ad hoc judgements as stemming from a lack of unifiedness of the amended theory. Still others view them as merely subjective.

Survey of clustering techniques for mobile ad hoc networks
Clustering methods allow fast connection and also better routing and topology management of mobile ad hoc networks (MANET). In this paper a survey of clustering techniques for MANET is presented and some preliminary concepts for designing clustering ...
