From Lab to Landscape: Environmental Biohybrid Robotics for Ecological Futures
This Perspective explores environmental biohybrid robotics, integrating living tissues, microorganisms, and insects for operation in real‐world ecosystems. It traces the leap from laboratory experiments to forests, wetlands, and urban environments and discusses key challenges, development pathways, and opportunities for ecological monitoring and ...

Light‐Driven Quadrupedal Walking Biohybrid Robot With Antagonistic Muscle‐Rings and Inclined Joints
This work presents a light‐driven quadrupedal walking biohybrid robot powered by antagonistic muscle‐rings that achieve alternating walking gait. Optical training improved reproducibility of cultured muscle tissues, while caffeine treatment enhanced contractile force.

This book covers the major design issues in ad hoc networks. It will equip the researchers in the field with the essential tools to attack the design of a complex ad hoc system, whether in standalone configurations like the 10,000 node battlefield networks or opportunistically connected to the Internet.

Proceedings of the 15th ACM international symposium on Mobile ad hoc networking and computing, 2014
Researchers in ad hoc networks are used to study some of the prevalent technical difficulties in networking: Without a fixed infrastructure, challenges such as mobility or wireless communication must be investigated in their purest form. As a consequence one learns a great deal about the fundamentals of networking.

Energy limited ad hoc networks
2007 15th International Conference on Software, Telecommunications and Computer Networks, 2007This paper evaluates the impact on the performance of limited battery energy in ad hoc networks. In the literature, the widely adopted assumption is to have nodes with an infinite energy, but this assumption does not consider that a terminal power itself by means of battery, which can easily exhaust its energy.
