Routing Update in Ad Hoc Networks
2003Contrary to cellular networks, ad-hoc networks are a form of mobile networks that function without any fixed infrastructure. This paper proposes a method which improves routing success rates in mobile ad hoc networks. This method is based on the density of the nodes in the neighborhood of a route and on the availability of this neighborhood.

Service Provision in Ad Hoc Networks
2002The client-server model continues to dominate distributed computing with increasingly more flexible variants being deployed. Many are centered on the notion of discovering services at run time and on allowing any system component to act as a service provider. The result is a growing reliance on the service registration and discovery mechanisms.

This papers describes selected problems and solutions for ad hoc networking, namely, for networking in absence of a fixed infrastructure. All nodes of an ad hoc networks move freely and communicate with each other only if they are in each other transmission range (neighboring nodes).
