An efficient Ad Hoc On-Demand Distance Vector routing protocol

2010 International Conference on Educational and Network Technology, 2010
In this paper, we propose a method to improve fault tolerance and load balancing in Ad hoc On-Demand Distance Vector (AODV) routing protocol. This is desirable because in ad hoc settings, mobility may cause routes to break frequently and hence alternative paths are needed. The original AODV only maintains one path for a source-destination pair.

Secure ad hoc on-demand distance vector routing

ACM SIGMOBILE Mobile Computing and Communications Review, 2002
This article gives an overview of different approaches to provide security features to routing protocols in mobile ad hoc networks (MANET). It also describes Secure AODV (an extension to AODV that provides security features) giving a summary of its operation and talking about future enhancements to the protocol.

On-demand multipath distance vector routing in ad hoc networks

Proceedings Ninth International Conference on Network Protocols. ICNP 2001, 2005
We develop an on-demand multipath distance vector protocol for mobile ad hoc networks. Specifically, we propose multipath extensions to a well-studied single path routing protocol known as ad hoc on-demand distance vector (AODV). The resulting protocol is referred to as ad hoc on-demand multipath distance vector (AOMDV).

More stable Ad-hoc on-demand distance vector routing protocol

2009 4th IEEE Conference on Industrial Electronics and Applications, 2009
Unicast routing, which discovers a path between a source-destination pair, is a challenging problem for wireless ad-hoc networks. Mobility demands additional requirements to be fulfilled during path selections. A neighbor v of a node u, is called “stable” if v's relative movement with respect to u is very low.

Energy Saving Ad-Hoc On-Demand Distance Vector Routing for Mobile Ad-Hoc Networks

2009 IEEE International Conference on Communications, 2009
A mobile ad-hoc network (MANET) is usually power constrained due to the limited battery energy on each node. For MANETS, energy efficiency is crucial for the design of new routing protocols. In this paper, a new energy-aware routing algorithm, called Energy Saving Ad-hoc On-demand Distance Vector (ESAODV) routing, is proposed.

Dynamic Reverse Route in Ad Hoc on Demand Distance Vector Routing Protocol

2010 6th International Conference on Wireless and Mobile Communications, 2010
A Mobile Ad hoc Network (MANET) is a heterogeneous network; a collection of mobile wireless devices with different characteristics communicating in a random network topology. Much research over-simplifies by assuming that all nodes are homogeneous, i.e., possess identical transmission power, reception quality and signal to noise ratio, which is not ...

Ad Hoc On-Demand Multipath Distance Vector Based Routing in Ad-Hoc Networks

Wireless Personal Communications, 2019
In this paper, Ad hoc on-demand distance vector (AOMDV) routing protocol has been analysed based on different performance parameters in different network scenarios. Performance parameters like normalized routing load, throughput, dropped packets, receiving packets, average delay. At different values of network connections, pause times, simulation times,

Link-Quality Aware Ad Hoc On-Demand Distance Vector Routing Protocol

2006 1st International Symposium on Wireless Pervasive Computing, 2006
Current ad hoc wireless routing protocols typically select the route with the shortest-path or minimum hop count to the destination. However, routes chosen according to such criteria tend to include longer hop-length links with possibly bad signal quality.

Secure Modified Ad Hoc On-Demand Distance Vector (MAODV) Routing Protocol

International Journal of Mobile Computing and Multimedia Communications, 2017
In the context of wireless technology, a secure communication is requisite for stopping the unauthorized access to the network services. This manuscripts aim is to detect and eliminate the malicious nodes involved during routing path formation in mesh environments by doing some amendments in basic AODV routing phenomenon.

Authenticated Routing for Ad-Hoc On-Demand Distance Vector Routing Protocol

2011
Mobile ad hoc network (MANET) is a collection of mobile hosts without any existing infrastructure or centralized access point such as a base station. MANET is an emerging research area because of their self configuration and self maintenance capabilities.
