Crustal control on the petrogenesis of adakite-like rocks

open access: yesChemical Geology, 2023
Adakite-like rocks have attracted extensive interest as they record magmatic processes and mantle-crustal ma- terial recycling, and because they are associated with major porphyry Cu deposits. However, their petrogenesis is still under debate. In this study, we compiled ca. 7000 sets of whole-rock geochemical and Nd isotopic data of Phanerozoic adakite-

Origin of adakite-like plutons in southern Korea

Lithos, 2016
Abstract We present Sr–Nd–Pb isotopic compositions for two adakite-like intrusions in southern Korea (Jindong and Bongnae), including major and trace element concentrations, and the sensitive high-resolution ion microprobe (SHRIMP) zircon U–Pb age. Our aim is to constrain the origin and tectonomagmatic processes that gave rise to the plutons.

Adakite-like granitoid porphyries in the Eastern Pontides, NE Turkey: Potential parental melts and geodynamic implications

open access: yesLithos, 2011
The tectonic setting of the Eastern Pontides during the late Mesozoic to early Cenozoic remains a subject of debate. Petrogenesis of adakite-like granitoid porphyries plays a critical role in determining the nature of the lower continental crust and ...
