Transplant Infectious Disease, EarlyView.Advanced age (≥60 years) was independently associated with higher mortality in solid organ transplant recipients, despite similar infection incidence. Even a single infection episode significantly increased mortality risk, underscoring the need for close clinical monitoring in elderly patients.
