Selective Laser Sintering 3D Printing of Drug‐Loaded Intravitreal Implants
Selective laser sintering enables the fabrication of biodegradable and biocompatible intravitreal implants with tunable microstructures for sustained drug delivery. By modulating laser scanning speed, the polymer matrix architecture is engineered to control the release kinetics of dexamethasone and riboflavin over several months. This approach offers a

Concurrent adaptation to opposing visual displacements during an alternating movement. [PDF]
It has been suggested that, during tasks in which subjects are exposed to a visual rotation of cursor feedback, alternating bimanual adaptation to opposing rotations is as rapid as unimanual adaptation to a single rotation (Bock et al.

Wrinkling of soft materials, such as polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS), underpins a myriad of technologies. Plasma‐oxidation of PDMS induces spontaneous wrinkling, which is canonically attributed to thermal expansion‐contraction of bilayers. Employing experiments and modelling, it is demonstrated that sorption of water vapor is instead responsible for ...

Syntactic adaptation and word learning in children and adults
Syntactic adaptation may be a key mechanism underlying children’s learning of novel words. Havron et al. (2019) exposed French-speaking children (ages 3 to 4) to a speaker biased toward using either familiar verbs or familiar nouns in a syntactic context

Deep phenotyping of 11,880 highlanders reveals novel adaptive traits in native Tibetans
Summary: Tibetans are the ideal population to study genetic adaptation in extreme environments. Here, we performed systematic phenotyping of 11,880 highlanders, covering 133 quantitative traits of 13 organ systems.

This work presents a soft microelectrode array based on vertically aligned carbon nanotube (CNT) forests, combining high conductivity with mechanical softness. A densification process and air‐pressure‐assisted flexibilization improve structural integrity, ensuring stable insertion and reduced inflammation.

Adapting to variable prismatic displacement [PDF]
In each of two studies, subjects were exposed to a continuously changing prismatic displacement with a mean value of 19 prism diopters (variable displacement) and to a fixed 19-diopter displacement (fixed displacement).

A sequence‐encoded supramolecular construct containing two accessible toeholds is developed herein for enabling multiple editing operations. By introducing specific input strands, it is possible to selectively erase or rewrite digital content through parallel or series toehold‐mediated strand displacement (PTMSD or STMSD).

Locking Metastable Topological Domains in Nematic Liquid Crystal Pi Cells
Selective photopolymerization in the presence of a controlled voltage defines permanent director walls that lock‐in metastable bend and twist configurations within nematic liquid crystal Pi cells. Q‐tensor simulations corroborate the experiments, demonstrating the topological state stabilization.
