Adaptive strategies for rLTL games

Proceedings of the 24th International Conference on Hybrid Systems: Computation and Control, 2021
We consider the problem of synthesizing the most robust controllers using the Abstraction-Based Controller Design (ABCD). First, we perform a finite-state abstraction of the continuous dynamic system. We then synthesize a most robust control strategy in the finite space by formulating it as a two-player game.

How Adaptive Strategy Is Adapting

2018
New developments from the disciplines of innovation, data science, and implementation management are teaching us that good strategy isn t just about setting your destination and path, it s also about how you execute and adjust over time.

Channel strategy adaptation [PDF]

open access: possible, 1999
Using transaction cost theory, considerable research in marketing has focused on the conditions under which firms would use direct or vertically integrated versus indirect or arms length channels of distribution. Data from the field, however, indicate that channel configurations are more varied and complex, with multiple channels and composite channels

Adaptive altruistic strategies

Behavioral and Brain Sciences, 2002
Biological, cognitive, and learning explanations of altruism, selfishness, and self-control can be integrated in terms of adaptive strategies. The key to understanding why humans and other animals sometimes resist temptation and sacrifice their immediate interests for the sake of others lies in mapping the design of the evolved mental mechanisms that ...

ROBUST AND ADAPTIVE CONTROL STRATEGIES

IFAC Proceedings Volumes, 1992
Abstract The paper describes a dynamics identification algorithm based on the disturbance observer in the multi-degrees-of-freedom manipulator. In the conventional approach, the disturbance observer is used to increase the robustness of the manipulator.

ADAPTIVE STRATEGIES OF EDAPHIC ARTHROPODS

Annual Review of Entomology, 1999
▪ Abstract  For those arthropod species adapted for living below the soil surface, the soil is a refuge from the biotic and abiotic perturbations existing above ground. Convergent morphological, physiological, and behavioral adaptations of epedaphic, euedaphic, and hemiedaphic arthropods to selective aspects of subterranean existence are examined in ...

Ecological adaptive strategies

1999
Abstract The optimal area hypothesis assumes that the home range of animals, the area they know and patrol (Burt, 1943), is large enough to yield an adequate supply of energy. The home ranges of subterranean mammals are generally also their exclusive and defended territories (Brown and Orians, 1970), except for brief periods during the ...

Adaptive task farm implementation strategies

12th Euromicro Conference on Parallel, Distributed and Network-Based Processing, 2004. Proceedings., 2004
Task farm parallelism exploitation pattern is used in a wide range of parallel applications. Due to the independence of the computations relative to the different tasks, efficient methods have been developed that can be used to implement task farms on both SMP/MPP and on homogeneous, static network/clusters of workstations.

Genetic adaptive strategies

1999
Abstract Chromosomal evolution through major structural rearrangements may lead either to speciation through reproductive isolation, caused by hybrid sterility and extensive homozygous fixation, and/or to local adaptive genetic polymorphism through reorganization of new coadapted supergenes (White, 1973, 1978).
