Estimating Angle of Arrival (AOA) for Wideband Signal by Sensor Delay Line (SDL) and Tapped Delay Line (TDL) Processors

open access: yesJournal of Engineering, 2018
Angle of arrival (AOA) estimation for wideband signal becomes more necessary for modern communication systems like Global System for Mobile (GSM), satellite, military applications and spread spectrum (frequency hopping and direct sequence).

Phased Array Feed Calibration, Beamforming and Imaging [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
Phased array feeds (PAFs) for reflector antennas offer the potential for increased reflector field of view and faster survey speeds. To address some of the development challenges that remain for scientifically useful PAFs, including calibration and ...

MIMO radar space–time adaptive processing using prolate spheroidal wave functions [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
In the traditional transmitting beamforming radar system, the transmitting antennas send coherent waveforms which form a highly focused beam. In the multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) radar system, the transmitter sends noncoherent (possibly ...

Performance Assessment of a GNSS Antenna Array with Digital Beamforming Supported by an FPGA Platform

open access: yesApplied Sciences
New positioning solutions are a key factor in the pursuit of autonomous driving. Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) is the most common method; however, traditional systems may have high position errors due to the signal’s path between the ...

Adaptive Correction for Radiation Patterns of Deformed Phased Array Antenna

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2020
The radiation patterns of an active phased array antenna (APAA) will inevitably deteriorate in service, due to the physical deformation of the antenna surface.

Multi-Beam Radar Communication Integrated System Design

open access: yesInformation, 2023
In this paper, we propose a multi-beam integrated radar and communication scheme using phased-array antenna, in which the same LFM-BPSK integrated waveform is used for both the radar and the communication beams.

Iterative turbo beamforming for OFDM based hybrid terrestrial-satellite mobile system [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
In the context of orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM)-based systems, pilot-based beamforming (BF) exhibits a high degree of sensitivity to the pilot sub-carriers.

Adaptive feed array compensation system for reflector antenna surface distortion [PDF]

open access: yesDigest on Antennas and Propagation Society International Symposium, 2003
The feasibility of a closed-loop adaptive feed array system for compensating reflector surface deformations is investigated. The performance characteristics (gain, sidelobe, level, pointing, etc.) of large communication antenna systems degrade as the reflector surface distorts mainly due to thermal effects from a varying solar flux.

Cytoplasmic p21 promotes stemness of colon cancer cells via activation of the NFκB pathway

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Cytoplasmic p21 promotes colorectal cancer stem cell (CSC) features by destabilizing the NFκB–IκB complex, activating NFκB signaling, and upregulating BCL‐xL and COX2. In contrast to nuclear p21, cytoplasmic p21 enhances spheroid formation and stemness transcription factor CD133.
