Detecting flying objects in synthetic aperture radar images using Moving Target Indicator methods
This paper presents a moving target indicator detection method (MTI) for detecting planes during take‐off in synthetic aperture radar data, and a theoretical ground‐clutter suppression method via cross‐track interferometry to detect airborne targets. The MTI method combines interferometric processing, acceleration compensation, and autofocus techniques.

Model-Switched Beamformer with Large Dynamic Range
The strong desired signal will be mitigated due to “self-nulling” for the adaptive beamformer, even if the array calibration is used. The proposed methodology switches the models between phased array and adaptive array.

Design of Novel Field Programmable Gate Array-Based Hearing Aid
Hearing loss is one of the most common chronic diseases. For people with hearing loss, communicating with other people, particularly in an environment with considerable background noise, is difficult. Recently, several hearing aids have been developed to

Clutter rank estimation for the multistage Wiener filter
The authors propose an algorithm that determines the rank of the sea clutter and relates it to the number of stages in the multistage Wiener filter. The algorithm presented is formulated as a model order estimation problem that utilises the minimum description length (MDL).

WaveMic: Speech recognition of Chinese digit numbers from radio signals
This paper presents a new solution to the Chinese digits speech recognition problem by reconstructing the high‐frequency harmonic and non‐harmonic components with the radio signals received by millimetre wave radar sensors. Abstract In recent years, the use of millimetre wave radio signals for speech recognition has rapidly developed.

Robust Regularized Least-Squares Beamforming Approach to Signal Estimation [PDF]
In this paper, we address the problem of robust adaptive beamforming of signals received by a linear array. The challenge associated with the beamforming problem is twofold. Firstly, the process requires the inversion of the usually ill-conditioned covariance matrix of the received signals.

Double Minimum Variance Beamforming Method to Enhance Photoacoustic Imaging [PDF]
One of the common algorithms used to reconstruct photoacoustic (PA) images is the non-adaptive Delay-and-Sum (DAS) beamformer. However, the quality of the reconstructed PA images obtained by DAS is not satisfying due to its high level of sidelobes and wide mainlobe. In contrast, adaptive beamformers, such as minimum variance (MV), result in an improved

An Efficient Slow-Time Adaptation for Massive MIMO Hybrid Beamforming in mm-Wave Time-Varying Channels [PDF]
In this paper, adaptive hybrid beamforming methods are proposed for millimeter-wave range massive multiple-input-multiple-output (MIMO) systems considering single carrier wideband transmission in uplink data mode. A statistical analog beamformer is adaptively constructed in slow-time, while the channel is time-varying and erroneously estimated.

Parallel Beamformation Method to Enhance Ultrasound Images
Contrast resolution and detail resolution are two important parameters in ultrasound imaging. This paper presents a new method to enhance these parameters, simultaneously.
