Adaptive Beamforming for Multi-Function In-Band Full-Duplex Applications
IEEE wireless communications, 2021The ability of in-band full duplex (IBFD) technology to support multiple simultaneous functions within wireless systems will enable it to be adopted into both existing networks and innovative applications that have not yet been fully realized.

Resource Allocation for Secure Rate-Splitting Multiple Access with Adaptive Beamforming
2021 IEEE International Conference on Communications Workshops (ICC Workshops), 2021Rate splitting multiple access (RSMA) is promising to achieve high spectral efficiency with a higher flexibility relative to non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) and orthogonal multiple access (OMA). In this paper, a novel RSMA-based secure transmission

Comparative Study of Adaptive Beamforming Algorithms for Smart antenna Applications
International Conference on Communications, Signal Processing, and their Applications, 2021Beamforming is signal processing techniques used to shape the antenna array pattern according to prescribed criteria. In this paper, a comparative study is presented for various adaptive antenna beamforming algorithms. Least Mean Square (LMS), Normalized

To ensure signal receiving quality, robust adaptive beamforming (RAB) is of vital importance in modern communications. In this letter, we propose a new low-complexity RAB approach based on interference-plus-noise covariance matrix (IPNC) reconstruction ...

Fast and Robust Variable-Step-Size LMS Algorithm for Adaptive Beamforming
IEEE Antennas and Wireless Propagation Letters, 2020Conventional least-mean-square (LMS) algorithm is one of the most popular algorithms, which is widely used for adaptive beamforming. But the performance of the LMS algorithm degrades significantly because the constant step size is not suitable for ...

Adaptive beamforming algorithms can be extremely sensitive to slight errors in array characteristics. Errors which are uncorrelated from sensor to sensor pass through the beamformer like uncorrelated or spatially white noise. Hence, gain against white noise is a measure of robustness.

Systolic Adaptive Beamforming [PDF]
In this chapter we address the important subject of adaptive beamforming or “null-steering” as applied to an adaptive antenna array for the purposes of noise cancellation. The chapter is not intended as a general review or tutorial discussion of the subject. It is concerned solely with the application of systolic arrays to adaptive beamforming networks

Adaptive subarrays beamforming
2013 MTS/IEEE OCEANS - Bergen, 2013Rank reduction prior to adaptive beamforming is required for large arrays in order to reduce the required number of samples. It is often processed by a conventional beamforming applied on a number of subarrays partitioning the whole array. The subarrays beams are then adaptively recombined by a second stage of beamforming.
