The Adaptive Cycle Engine on Standard Duty Cycles

SAE Technical Paper Series, 2019
<div class="section abstract"><div class="htmlview paragraph">Continuing research introduced at the 2018 WCX conference, this paper shows the result of simulations where a midsize sedan (1700 kg) fitted with an adaptive cycle engine and a CVT is operated over three standard duty cycles: US06, UDDS, and HWFET, and compared with the results ...

The Adaptive Cycle Engines

SAE Technical Paper Series, 2018
<div class="section abstract"><div class="htmlview paragraph">Traditionally, internal combustion engines follow thermodynamic cycles comprising a fixed number of crank revolutions, in order to accommodate compression of the incoming air as well as expansion of the combustion products.

Adoption + Adaptation In Performance Cycling

2019
This research has explored the relationship between cyclist and machine, through exploratory research methods and heuristic exploration by proposing a series of custom hardware interventions as way of enriching mountain bike rider’s experience. Changing the mountain bike rider’s experience and the mindset of the community of avid cyclists and industry ...

On the V-Cycle of the Fully Adaptive Multigrid Method

1994
The Fully Adaptive Multigrid Method (FAMe) is a concept for the effective solution of elliptic problems including robust and efficient iterative solution, error estimation, and self-adaptive refinement. In this paper we introduce a variant of the FAMe similar in structure to a multigrid V-cycle and a multiplicative multilevel Schwarz method.

Transferable Adversarial Cycle Alignment for Domain Adaption

2019
Domain adaption is definitely critical for success in bridging source and target domains that data distribution shifts exist in domain or task. The state-of-the-art of the adversarial feature learning model named Bidirectional Generative Adversarial Networks (BiGAN), forces generative models to align with an arbitrarily complex distribution in a latent
