Laser-excited single crystal phosphor in white LED for wide field of view and high enhanced central brightness for vehicle headlights

open access: yesAIP Advances, 2022
We demonstrate the generation of a laser hotspot by a laser-excited single crystal phosphor (SCP) converter layer in a white LED for producing a wide field of view (FOV) and high enhanced central brightness (ECB) for an adaptive-driving-beam (ADB ...

InTEn-LOAM: Intensity and Temporal Enhanced LiDAR Odometry and Mapping

open access: yesRemote Sensing, 2022
Traditional LiDAR odometry (LO) systems mainly leverage geometric information obtained from the traversed surroundings to register lazer scans and estimate LiDAR ego-motion, while they may be unreliable in dynamic or degraded environments.

Laser-assisted LED for adaptive-driving-beam headlights employing ultra-reliable single crystal phosphor for autonomous vehicles

open access: yesOptics Express, 2021
A novel laser-assisted LED for adaptive-driving-beam (ADB) headlights employing an ultra-reliable Ce3+: YAG-based single crystal phosphor (SCP)-converter layer for use in autonomous vehicles is demonstrated. The SCP fabricated at a high-temperature of 1,940°C exhibited better thermal stability than other phosphor-converter materials, evidenced by a ...

LDAcoop: Integrating non‐linear population dynamics into the analysis of clonogenic growth in vitro

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Limiting dilution assays (LDAs) quantify clonogenic growth by seeding serial dilutions of cells and scoring wells for colony formation. The fraction of negative wells is plotted against cells seeded and analyzed using the non‐linear modeling of LDAcoop.

Peroxidasin enables melanoma immune escape by inhibiting natural killer cell cytotoxicity

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Peroxidasin (PXDN) is secreted by melanoma cells and binds the NK cell receptor NKG2D, thereby suppressing NK cell activation and cytotoxicity. PXDN depletion restores NKG2D signaling and enables effective NK cell–mediated melanoma killing. These findings identify PXDN as a previously unrecognized immune evasion factor and a potential target to improve
