Optimization of InGaN-based LED Package Structure for Automotive Adaptive Driving Beam Headlamp

ECS Journal of Solid State Science and Technology, 2020
We investigated the luminance, thermal, and thermo-mechanical properties of vertical (V)-LED and flip-chip (FC)-LED packages with different white silicones for a vehicle head lamp application. The FC-LED package showed higher equivalent maximum stress than the V-LED package.

A Monolithic I2V2-Controlled Dual-Phase LED Matrix Driver for Automotive Adaptive Driving Beam (ADB) Headlighting

2019 IEEE Custom Integrated Circuits Conference (CICC), 2019
Conventional LED matrix drivers for automotive Adaptive Driving Beam (ADB) headlighting drive a serial-connected LED matrix, hence resulting in two power-conversion stages, low power-efficiency, and large current ripples. This paper presents a monolithic parallel-connected LED matrix driver.
