Adaptive driving beam system with MEMS optical scanner for reconfigurable vehicle headlight [PDF]
An adaptive driving beam (ADB) for vehicle headlights has been developed using a microelectromechanical systems optical scanner. A piezoelectric scanner is constructed using thin-film lead-zirconate-titanate oxide (PbZrTiO3, PZT) on a bonded silicon-on-insulator (SOI) wafer, respectively, processed by ion-milling and deep reactive ion etching.

Designer driving: Drivers’ conceptual models and level of trust in adaptive cruise control [PDF]
A driving simulator study was completed in order to examine drivers' level of trust and the type of Conceptual Model (CM) they held of an Adaptive Cruise Control system (ACC).

Driver behaviour with adaptive cruise control [PDF]
This paper reports on the evaluation of adaptive cruise control (ACC) from a psychological perspective. It was anticipated that ACC would have an effect upon the psychology of driving, i.e.

InTEn-LOAM: Intensity and Temporal Enhanced LiDAR Odometry and Mapping
Traditional LiDAR odometry (LO) systems mainly leverage geometric information obtained from the traversed surroundings to register lazer scans and estimate LiDAR ego-motion, while they may be unreliable in dynamic or degraded environments.

Evaluation of the effectiveness of advanced driving headlights using a driving simulator
In this study, a method to evaluate the effectiveness of adaptive driving beam (ADB) to enhance a driver's perception level for detecting pedestrians in a driving simulator is proposed.
