Oncogenic DMTF1β promotes cancer cell motility by regulating autophagy through ULK1 stabilization

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In the current study, we demonstrate that the oncogene DMTF1β regulates ULK1 stability by reducing its proteasomal degradation in cancer cells. This stabilization enables ULK1 to induce autophagy, which in turn facilitates cancer cell migration. Consequently, reduced DMTF1β levels lead to decreased autophagy and impaired cancer cell migration.

A New Adaptive H-Infinity Filtering Algorithm for the GPS/INS Integrated Navigation

open access: yesSensors, 2016
The Kalman filter is an optimal estimator with numerous applications in technology, especially in systems with Gaussian distributed noise. Moreover, the adaptive Kalman filtering algorithms, based on the Kalman filter, can control the influence of ...

PAK1 activation drives divergent resistance mechanisms to aromatase inhibition and tamoxifen in a luminal: A breast cancer model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Breast cancer remains a major cause of cancer death in women, frequently developing endocrine therapy resistance. This study demonstrates that upregulated p21‐activated kinase 1 (PAK1) activity drives resistance to tamoxifen and long‐term estrogen deprivation in ER+ breast cancer models.

Comparison of the RLS and LMS Algorithms to Remove Power Line Interference Noise from ECG Signal

open access: yesAl-Khawarizmi Engineering Journal, 2010
Biomedical signal such as ECG is extremely important in the diagnosis of patients and is commonly recorded with a noise. Many different kinds of noise exist in biomedical environment such as Power Line Interference Noise (PLIN).

Polarization‐resolved femtosecond Vis/IR spectroscopy tailored for resolving weak signals in biological samples using minimal sample volume

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Unique biological samples, such as site‐specific mutant proteins, are available only in limited quantities. Here, we present a polarization‐resolved transient infrared spectroscopy setup with referencing to improve signal‐to‐noise tailored towards tracing small signals. We provide an overview of characterizing the excitation conditions for polarization‐

Discrete-time model reference adaptive control for three-phase PWM rectifiers

open access: yes电力工程技术
Three-phase pulse width modulation (PWM) rectifiers are essential power conversion devices in AC microgrids. However, DC load disturbances in the microgrid are unknown and filter capacitor parameters are imprecise, which will directly affect the control ...

AREA AND POWER EFFICIENT LEAST MEAN SQUARE ADAPTIVE FILTER USING APPROXIMATE ARITHMETIC [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings on Engineering Sciences
The efficiency of a digital signal processing system heavily relies on the performance of multipliers, which are crucial arithmetic functional units. Approximate arithmetic techniques have emerged as a promising approach to significantly reduce circuit ...

A light‐triggered Time‐Resolved X‐ray Solution Scattering (TR‐XSS) workflow with application to protein conformational dynamics

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Time‐resolved X‐ray solution scattering captures how proteins change shape in real time under near‐native conditions. This article presents a practical workflow for light‐triggered TR‐XSS experiments, from data collection to structural refinement. Using a calcium‐transporting membrane protein as an example, the approach can be broadly applied to study ...

MULTICHANNEL TIME-FREQUENCY ADAPTIVE FILTER BASED ON DOUBLE-CROSS-GROUP TRANSFORMATIONS

open access: yesДоклады Белорусского государственного университета информатики и радиоэлектроники, 2019
We consider a multi-channel time-frequency adaptive filter with fast convergence. To reduce the time used to adapt a dual-group adjacent spectral transform. The comparison of the proposed filter with a known adaptive filter is given.

Promiscuous stimulation of HSP70 ATPase activity by parasite‐derived J‐domains

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
The malaria parasite Plasmodium falciparum exports three highly homologous yet functionally divergent J‐domain proteins into human erythrocytes. Here, we show that J‐domains isolated from all three proteins effectively stimulate the ATPase activity of both endogenous host and exported parasite HSP70 chaperones.
