Organ‐specific redox imbalances in spinal muscular atrophy mice are partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotides

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We identified a systemic, progressive loss of protein S‐glutathionylation—detected by nonreducing western blotting—alongside dysregulation of glutathione‐cycle enzymes in both neuronal and peripheral tissues of Taiwanese SMA mice. These alterations were partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotide therapy, revealing persistent redox imbalance as ...

A Conceptual Architecture for Adaptive Human-Computer Interface of a PT Operation Platform Based on Context-Awareness

open access: yesDiscrete Dynamics in Nature and Society, 2014
We present a conceptual architecture for adaptive human-computer interface of a PT operation platform based on context-awareness. This architecture will form the basis of design for such an interface.

Information technology models for the adaptation of the production processes

open access: yesJournal of Physics: Conference Series, 2019
Abstract For an organization it is important to have clearly the objectives, goals and purposes of its business and that all people who are related to it have the same clarity of how the organization works and where it wants to go, for this there are management tools such as the balanced scorecard that along with the control panels can ...

Transferrin receptor 1‐mediated iron uptake supports thermogenic activation in human cervical‐derived adipocytes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.

Cross Beam STAP for Nonstationary Clutter Suppression in Airborne Radar

open access: yesInternational Journal of Antennas and Propagation, 2013
A novel space-time adaptive processing (STAP) method for nonstationary clutter suppression is proposed. The developed method forms a multibeam along the cross line to participate in adaptive processing, which sufficiently utilizes the spatial information

One-way quantum computing in a decoherence-free subspace

open access: yes, 2007
We introduce a novel scheme for one-way quantum computing (QC) based on the use of information encoded qubits in an effective cluster state resource. With the correct encoding structure, we show that it is possible to protect the entangled resource from ...

A methionine‐lined active site governs carbocation stabilization and product specificity in a bacterial terpene synthase

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This study reveals a unique active site enriched in methionine residues and demonstrates that these residues play a critical role by stabilizing carbocation intermediates through novel sulfur–cation interactions. Structure‐guided mutagenesis further revealed variants with significantly altered product profiles, enhancing pseudopterosin formation. These

Structure identification and state initialization of spin networks with limited access

open access: yes, 2014
For reliable and consistent quantum information processing carried out on a quantum network, the network structure must be fully known and a desired initial state must be accurately prepared on it.

AAA+ protein unfoldases—the Moirai of the proteome

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
AAA+ unfoldases are essential molecular motors that power protein degradation and disaggregation. This review integrates recent cryo‐electron microscopy (cryo‐EM) structures and single‐molecule biophysical data to reconcile competing models of substrate translocation.
