We consider the case where inconsistencies are present between a system and its corresponding model, used for automatic verification. Such inconsistencies can be the result of modeling errors or recent modifications of the system. Despite such discrepancies we can still attempt to perform automatic verification.

Adaptive deformable models [PDF]
Deformable models are a powerful tool in both computer graphics and computer vision. The description and implementation of the deformations have to be simultaneously flexible and powerful, otherwise the technique may not satisfy the requirements of all the distinct applications. In this paper we introduce a new method for deformable model specification:

A Generic Adaptivity Model in Adaptive Hypermedia [PDF]
For adaptive hypermedia there is a strong model in form of the AHAM model and the AHA! system. This model, based on the Dexter Model, however is limited to application in hypermedia systems. In this paper we propose a new Generic Adaptivity Model. This state-machine based model can be used as the basis for adaptation in all kinds of applications.

Improved Point-Line Feature Based Visual SLAM Method for Indoor Scenes
In the study of indoor simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM) problems using a stereo camera, two types of primary features—point and line segments—have been widely used to calculate the pose of the camera.

Dynamic and thermodynamic models of adaptation [PDF]
The concept of biological adaptation was closely connected to some mathematical, engineering and physical ideas from the very beginning. Cannon in his "The wisdom of the body" (1932) used the engineering vision of regulation. In 1938, Selye enriched this approach by the notion of adaptation energy.

Adaptive Weapon-to-Target Assignment Model Based on the Real-Time Prediction of Hit Probability
Weapon-to-target assignment (WTA), which minimizes the damage to our forces by launching interceptor missiles (weapons) against ballistic missiles of the enemy (targets), is a critical decision-making problem of ballistic missile defense missions.

Memory Models of Adaptive Behavior [PDF]
Adaptive response to a varying environment is a common feature of biological organisms. Reproducing such features in electronic systems and circuits is of great importance for a variety of applications. Here, we consider memory models inspired by an intriguing ability of slime molds to both memorize the period of temperature and humidity variations ...
