Adaptive-Neuro-Fuzzy-Based Information Fusion for the Attitude Prediction of TBMs

open access: yesSensors, 2020
In a tunneling boring machine (TBM), to obtain the attitude in real time is very important for a driver. However, the current laser targeting system has a large delay before obtaining the attitude.

A comparative study of artificial neural network (ANN) and adaptive neuro-fuzzy inference system (ANFIS) models in distribution system with nondeterministic inputs

open access: yes, 2018
Most deterministic optimization models use average values of nondeterministic variables as their inputs. It is, therefore, expected that a model that can accept the distribution of a random variable, while this may involve some more computational ...

Adaptive Neuro-Fuzzy Inference System (ANFIS) for Controlling Level and Pressure on Deaerator

open access: yesTEKNIK, 2019
DDeaerator is one of the most widely used plants in the chemical industry and marine steam power plant. Deaerator is used to eliminate oxygen in water that enters the boiler to avoid corrosion of the boiler pipes. Control of pressure and level in deaerator needs to be done to keep the process well.

Energy Consumption and CO2 Emissions Forecasting of Transport Sector Using Machine Learning

open access: yesEnergy Science &Engineering, Volume 14, Issue 7, Page 3508-3526, July 2026.
The transport sector accounts for approximately one‐quarter of Iran's final energy consumption. The energy demand in this sector has the least variation, with petroleum products accounting for more than 85% of the demand. Furthermore, the accelerated growth of energy consumption and the sector's reliance on fossil fuels, which are the main cause of ...

Rockburst prediction based on data preprocessing and hyperband‐RNN‐DNN

open access: yesDeep Underground Science and Engineering, Volume 5, Issue 2, Page 446-464, June 2026.
A data preprocessing workflow is proposed to address challenges in rockburst data analysis. Coupled algorithms preprocess the data set, and hyperband optimization is used to enhance RNN performance. Results show that preprocessing improves accuracy, while dense layers enhance model stability and prediction performance.

Computational intelligence model for predicting the compressive strength of FRP‐confined concrete column

open access: yesStructural Concrete, Volume 27, Issue 3, Page 4398-4415, June 2026.
Abstract Fiber reinforced polymer (FRP) wrapping technology is commonly used to enhance the compressive strength (CS) of reinforced concrete (RC) members. Accurate prediction of the compressive strength of FRP‐confined concrete columns is crucial for optimizing structural design and helps reduce the time and costs associated with physical testing ...
