ADAPTIVE OBSERVER-BASED SYNCHRONIZATION FOR COMMUNICATION

The problem of synchronizing two nonlinear systems (transmitter and receiver) is considered. A simple design of an adaptive observer for estimating the unknown parameters of the transmitter is proposed based on the design of quadratic Lyapunov function for the error system.

SummarySeveral continuous‐time frequency estimators for a measured sinusoidal signal, which have been proposed in the literature, are reviewed, reinterpreted and compared both theoretically and by simulations. It is argued that adaptive notch filters are feedback algorithms that contain a local adaptive observer in the feedback loop.

The discrete adaptive observer

This paper discusses the discrete version of the adaptive observer problem. First, a stable identification scheme for a linear discrete multivariable system when all its state variables are accessible is presented. The scheme is then extended to obtain stable identification laws for a single variable system using only input-output data.
