An Adaptive Reclosing Method for Distribution Networks Based on Active-Passive Fault Detection
IEEE PES Asia-Pacific Power and Energy Engineering ConferenceTraditional non-check reclosing method might operate at continuous short circuit, causing secondary shock to the distribution networks. To this end, an adaptive reclosing method for distribution networks based on active-passive fault detection is ...

A New Approach to the Calculation of Reclosing Time for Adaptive Auto-reclosure
2010 Asia-Pacific Power and Energy Engineering Conference, 2010Adaptive reclose can remarkably enhance power system reliability. Rapid and accurate calculation of reclosing time proves to be difficult. This paper presents a stochastic calculus approach to this problem, deduces formulae to calculate reclosing time.

Adaptive Comprehensive Auto-Reclosing Scheme for Shunt Reactor-Compensated Transmission Lines
IEEE Transactions on Power Delivery, 2019After a tripping of a transmission line, if the fault is transient, faulty arc may be extinguished in three different kind of periods: initial, middle and ending period. Existing adaptive auto-reclosing (AAR) schemes cannot cover all kind of situations, which seriously affects application of those AAR schemes.

Adaptive Three-Phase Reclosing of Distribution Network Using the Injected Signal
2020 10th International Conference on Power and Energy Systems (ICPES), 2020An adaptive three-phase reclosing strategy is proposed for distribution network, using the injected signal by putting additional power on secondary ports of the voltage transformer. After distribution network three-phase tripping, the strategy injects a voltage signal before reclosing time.

High speed adaptive auto reclosing of 765 kV transmission lines
2012 11th International Conference on Environment and Electrical Engineering, 2012This paper proposes a new adaptive auto reclosing scheme for extra high voltage transmission lines. The performance of an auto reclosing scheme depends not only on power system behavior and transmission lines characteristic but also secondary arc current.

Adaptive auto-reclosing based on DER connectivity data with IEC 61850
2014 IEEE PES General Meeting | Conference & Exposition, 2014Most faults in the overhead distribution networks are temporary in nature. The protection system is therefore designed to open the line in an attempt to clear the fault and then automatically reclose to reconnect the circuit once the fault has cleared.

Adaptive single pole auto-reclosing using discrete wavelet transform
European Transactions on Electrical Power, 2010This paper proposes a new algorithm for adaptive single pole auto-reclosing (SPAR) using discrete wavelet transform (DWT). The faulted phase voltage signal is captured at a sampling rate of 2.5 kHz. The sym8 wavelet function is used to decompose the signal into level 1 and to define an index function (INDF), which is obtained from the sum of absolute ...
