Adaptable Architectures for Signal Processing Applications
First NASA/ESA Conference on Adaptive Hardware and Systems (AHS'06), 2006In this paper, state-of-the-art reconfigurable architectures are reviewed and their main drawbacks in reaching TeraByte per second bandwidth is identified. A concept of new adaptable architecture for signal processing applications is proposed that will enable TB/s processing in the future. Current prototypes of smaller scale modules show groundbreaking

Acoustooptic Adaptive Signal Processing
SPIE Proceedings, 1986Acoustooptic methods for adaptive filtering of temporal signals are discussed. Two specific architectures are presented: one utilizing space-integration alone and the other combining both time and space integrating techniques. Performance issues regarding the space-integrating system are discussed in detail, and a description and experimental results ...

Adaptive Signal Processing Applied in Telecommunications
IFAC Proceedings Volumes, 1992Abstract This paper overviews the applications of the adaptive signal processing in the evolving telecommunication network. The overview is divided into 3 segments, i.e. speech band adaptive systems, video band adaptive systems, and intelligent adaptive systems.

Environmentallly adaptive signal processing
The Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, 1997To achieve required system performance under difficult propagation and reverbaration conditions, signal processing systems must be environmentally adaptive. This paper uses results from statistical signal processing and wavelet transform theory to develop an estimator-correlator (EC) approach to environmental adaptivity.

An introduction to adaptive signal processing
Computers & Electrical Engineering, 1992Abstract Adaptive systems can be characterized by four items: the adaptive structure being modified, the configuration which contains the adaptive structure, the performance measure used to evaluate the current state of the adaptive structure, and the algorithm used to modify the structure to improve its performance.

Wavelets and adaptive signal processing
Optical Engineering, 1992Compactly supported wavelet bases are sets of compactly supported functions that are orthonormal bases for a wide variety of function spaces, including signals that have finite energy or finite power. The theory of compactly supported wavelets is placed in its historical context.

Adaptive Signal Processing at NOSC
1992Abstract : Adaptive signal processing work at the Naval Ocean Systems Center (NOSC) dates back to the late 1960s. It began as an IR/IED project by John McCool, who made use of an adaptive algorithm that had been developed by Professor Bernard Widrow of Stanford University.
