MeshGUI: A Mesh Generation and Editing Toolset for the ADCIRC Model
2008Abstract : The User's Manual for the Matlab-based MeshGUI Graphical User Interface (GUI) containing the software programs meshcreate.m and meshedit.m describes the software, including its functionality and usage. The meshcreate and meshedit tools provide a relatively automated and interactive means, respectively, for obtaining good quality finite ...

Sensitivity of an ADCIRC Tide and Storm Surge Model to Manning's n
Estuarine and Coastal Modeling, 2012In this study, the sensitivity of the ADCIRC hydrodynamic model to Manning's n is explored. Using methods presented in hydraulic literature, low, average, and high values of Manning's n are assigned to the overland and channel regions in the study domain of Florida's Big Bend Region.

Characterizing hurricane storm surge behavior in Galveston Bay using the SWAN+ADCIRC model
Coastal Engineering, 2014Abstract The SWAN + ADCIRC shallow-water circulation model, validated for Hurricane Ike (2008), was used to develop five synthetic storm surge scenarios for the upper Texas coast in which wind speed was increased and landfall location was shifted 40 km westward.

Inverse ocean modeling with ADCIRC
2004A modular system for ocean data assimilation has recently been developed. It has already been implemented in an unsophisticated way with a variety of models of the ocean and the coupled ocean-atmosphere. The system is currently being enhanced with modern information technology to facilitate the application of the system to models of coastal oceans ...
