Inverse ocean modeling with ADCIRC

2004
A modular system for ocean data assimilation has recently been developed. It has already been implemented in an unsophisticated way with a variety of models of the ocean and the coupled ocean-atmosphere. The system is currently being enhanced with modern information technology to facilitate the application of the system to models of coastal oceans ...

ADCIRC Water Level Data Assimilation via Pseudo Atmospheric Pressure

2017
Forecasting storm surge deals with unknowns. This presentation goes over some of those unknowns: where and when the event will happen, forecast meteorological conditions and antecedent meteorological and oceanographic conditions. Finally it discusses how ADCIRC can deal with them.

Sensitivity of an ADCIRC Tide and Storm Surge Model to Manning's n

Estuarine and Coastal Modeling, 2012
In this study, the sensitivity of the ADCIRC hydrodynamic model to Manning's n is explored. Using methods presented in hydraulic literature, low, average, and high values of Manning's n are assigned to the overland and channel regions in the study domain of Florida's Big Bend Region.
