Diverse Landscape of Tunable Magnetic, Topological, and Ferroelectric States in 2D Ti3Se3Te2

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Ti3Se3Te2 emerges as a multifunctional 2D van der Waals platform. The monolayer is a dynamically stable ferromagnetic quantum anomalous Hall insulator. In bilayers, two stacking configurations yield distinct phases: AA‐stacking hosts an altermagnetic quantum spin Hall insulator, while AA′‐stacking exhibits three‐state in‐plane ferroelectricity ...

ON THE DAMPING FORCE AND ADDED MASS OF SHIPS HEAVING AND PITCHING

open access: yesON THE DAMPING FORCE AND ADDED MASS OF SHIPS HEAVING AND PITCHING
When cylinders of Lewis form sections heave and pitch on the free surface, their damping force and the added mass were exactly calculated by Ursell's method. And many figures in this paper show the results of the calculation. Then the author calculated, applying the results of the above-mentioned calculation and by Strip Method, the damping force and ...

Synchronization‐Dissipation in the Cardiorespiratory System

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
By modeling central nervous coupling and viscoelastic interactions in the cardiorespiratory system we show that synchronization produces a 10% gain in cardiac efficiency in humans. It is surmised that respiratory sinus arrhythmia improves cardiac pumping efficiency by reducing dynamic stress and power dissipation in the pulmonary vasculature.

Construction of Sabatier Volcanoes for CO2 Hydrogenation to C1‐2 Oxygenates Using Data‐Efficient Machine Learning

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A new data‐efficient framework combining DFT calculations, a neural network model, and automated graph analysis of catalytic reaction networks is proposed and applied to CO2 hydrogenation on transition metal nanoparticles. The analysis shows how efficient C2 oxygenate production requires a balance between CHx formation, C–C coupling, protonation, and ...

Multiferroic‐Centric Materials and Systems Engineering for Battery Applications: An Insight Into Mechanisms, Strategies, and Characterizations

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Multiferroic order parameters – polarization, magnetization, and ferroelastic strain – are positioned as dynamic design variables for batteries. Their mechanistic roles, practical tuning through fabrication and external fields, and ferroic‐resolved characterization routes are unified into a closed‐loop framework, revealing how coupled ferroic responses
