Morphological procedures in parlache development and transformation

open access: yesIkala: Revista de Lenguaje y Cultura, 2005
In this article the procedures of word formation are explained in the parlache slang, starting from the general scheme outlined from the morphology of the Spanish language: addition, modification, subtraction and combination.  Some examples are analyzed

Method for preparing addition type polyimide prepregs [PDF]

open access: yes, 1980
A novel addition polyimide based on the use of liquid monomers wherein the essentially solventless prepreg produced therefrom retains good drape, tack and other mechanical ...

Balanced ternary addition using a gated silicon nanowire

open access: yes, 2011
We demonstrate the proof of principle for a ternary adder using silicon metal-on-insulator single electron transistors (SET). Gate dependent rectifying behavior of a single electron transistor results in a robust three-valued output as a function of the ...

Upacicalcet: A Novel Intravenous Calcimimetic Agent for Patients Undergoing Hemodialysis With Secondary Hyperparathyroidism

open access: yesTherapeutic Apheresis and Dialysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Secondary hyperparathyroidism (SHPT) is a common complication in patients receiving maintenance dialysis, driven by calcium and phosphate metabolism disturbances. Calcimimetics are central to the management of SHPT by enhancing calcium‐sensing receptor sensitivity and reducing parathyroid hormone secretion.

Aerobic addition of secondary phosphine oxides to vinyl sulfides: a shortcut to 1-hydroxy-2-(organosulfanyl)ethyl(diorganyl)phosphine oxides

open access: yesBeilstein Journal of Organic Chemistry, 2015
Secondary phosphine oxides react with vinyl sulfides (both alkyl- and aryl-substituted sulfides) under aerobic and solvent-free conditions (80 °C, air, 7–30 h) to afford 1-hydroxy-2-(organosulfanyl)ethyl(diorganyl)phosphine oxides in 70–93% yields.

Addition theorems and the Drach superintegrable systems

open access: yes, 2008
We propose new construction of the polynomial integrals of motion related to the addition theorems. As an example we reconstruct Drach systems and get some new two-dimensional superintegrable Stackel systems with third, fifth and seventh order integrals ...

Adjunctive Therapeutic Plasma Exchange in Refractory Adult‐Onset Still's Disease Complicated by Secondary Macrophage Activation Syndrome: A Single‐Center Experience

open access: yesTherapeutic Apheresis and Dialysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Introduction Adult‐onset Still's disease (AOSD) complicated by macrophage activation syndrome (MAS) carries substantial mortality. The role of therapeutic plasma exchange (TPE) remains uncertain. Methods We retrospectively analyzed patients with AOSD‐MAS treated with TPE at a single‐center.

Soil improvement with the addition of natural materials, such as cactus mucilage

open access: yesPrzegląd Naukowy Inżynieria i Kształtowanie Środowiska
In civil engineering, a frequent situation arises, when soils to be used in projects have little resistance or are very plastic, so they must be improved.

Homolytic substitution at phosphorus for C–P bond formation in organic synthesis

open access: yesBeilstein Journal of Organic Chemistry, 2013
Organophosphorus compounds are important in organic chemistry. This review article covers emerging, powerful synthetic approaches to organophosphorus compounds by homolytic substitution at phosphorus with a carbon-centered radical. Phosphination reagents
