Phase‐field simulations coupled with dislocation‐density‐based crystal plasticity modeling reproduce γ′ rafting behavior in single‐crystal Ni‐based superalloys under varied loading conditions. The model captures both macroscopic creep and microscopic morphology evolution, with results matching high‐temperature creep experiments.

Rearranging trees for robust consensus [PDF]
In this paper, we use the H2 norm associated with a communication graph to characterize the robustness of consensus to noise. In particular, we restrict our attention to trees and by systematic attention to the effect of local changes in topology, we ...

Phase Field Failure Modeling: Brittle‐Ductile Dual‐Phase Microstructures under Compressive Loading
The approach by Amor and the approach by Miehe and Zhang for asymmetric damage behavior in the phase field method for fracture are compared regarding their fitness for microcrack‐based failure modeling. The comparison is performed for the case of a dual‐phase microstructure with a brittle and a ductile constituent.

Subset currents on free groups [PDF]
We introduce and study the space of \emph{subset currents} on the free group $F_N$. A subset current on $F_N$ is a positive $F_N$-invariant locally finite Borel measure on the space $\mathfrak C_N$ of all closed subsets of $\partial F_N$ consisting of at

An all‐in‐one analog AI accelerator is presented, enabling on‐chip training, weight retention, and long‐term inference acceleration. It leverages a BEOL‐integrated CMO/HfOx ReRAM array with low‐voltage operation (<1.5 V), multi‐bit capability over 32 states, low programming noise (10 nS), and near‐ideal weight transfer.

A fully transparent, all‐metal‐oxide neuromorphic transistor using a sodium‐embedded alumina (SEA) electrolyte is demonstrated. By precisely tuning the thermal annealing process, the chemical composition of the SEA layer is controlled, allowing for the deterministic realization of both short‐term and long‐term synaptic plasticity within the same device

Residual magnetization induces pronounced mechanical anisotropy in ultra‐soft magnetorheological elastomers, shaping deformation and actuation even without external magnetic fields. This study introduces a computational‐experimental framework integrating magneto‐mechanical coupling into topology optimization for designing soft magnetic actuators with ...

The perspective presents an integrated view of neuromorphic technologies, from device physics to real‐time applicability, while highlighting the necessity of full‐stack co‐optimization. By outlining practical hardware‐level strategies to exploit device behavior and mitigate non‐idealities, it shows pathways for building efficient, scalable, and ...

Spectral Theory for Networks with Attractive and Repulsive Interactions [PDF]
There is a wealth of applied problems that can be posed as a dynamical system defined on a network with both attractive and repulsive interactions. Some examples include: understanding synchronization properties of nonlinear oscillator;, the behavior of ...
