A Frequency Control Strategy Using Power Line Communication in a Smart Microgrid
This paper presents an application of power-line communication (PLC) as a viable solution for frequency regulation in a smart microgrid. The microgrid under consideration comprises a diesel generator with a frequency controller and another synchronous ...

Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.

Additive Asymmetric Quantum Codes
We present a general construction of asymmetric quantum codes based on additive codes under the trace Hermitian inner product. Various families of additive codes over $\F_{4}$ are used in the construction of many asymmetric quantum codes over $\F_{4 ...

Additive and Generalized Additive Models
This paper is the attempt to summarize the state of art in additive and generalized additive models (GAM). The emphasis is on approaches and numerical procedures which have emerged since the monograph of Hastie and Tibshirani (1990) although reconsidering certain aspects of their work.

Fluorescent probes allow dynamic visualization of phosphoinositides in living cells (left), whereas mass spectrometry provides high‐sensitivity, isomer‐resolved quantitation (right). Their synergistic use captures complementary aspects of lipid signaling. This review illustrates how these approaches reveal the spatiotemporal regulation and quantitative

General normal forms for any additive logic
In this article, we define general normal forms for any logic that has propositional part and whose non-propositional connectives distribute over the finite disjunctions.

By dawn or dusk—how circadian timing rewrites bacterial infection outcomes
The circadian clock shapes immune function, yet its influence on infection outcomes is only beginning to be understood. This review highlights how circadian timing alters host responses to the bacterial pathogens Salmonella enterica, Listeria monocytogenes, and Streptococcus pneumoniae revealing that the effectiveness of immune defense depends not only
