On a generalization of addition chains: Addition–multiplication chains
This paper gives the definition of addition-multiplication chains, and it is shown that addition-multiplication chains resemble addition chains in many aspects.

Vector Generalized Additive Models
SUMMARY Vector smoothing is used to extend the class of generalized additive models in a very natural way to include a class of multivariate regression models. The resulting models are called ‘vector generalized additive models‘. The class of models for which the methodology gives generalized additive extensions includes the multiple ...

ABSTRACT Background Pediatric sarcomas are a heterogeneous group of tumors that contribute disproportionately to cancer mortality in children. Although congenital anomalies are among the strongest known risk factors for childhood cancer, the risk of specific sarcoma subtypes among affected individuals has not yet been thoroughly evaluated. Procedure We

On a problem on explicit embeddings of the group ℚ
Answering a question of de la Harpe and Bridson in the Kourovka Notebook, we build the explicit embeddings of the additive group of rational numbers ℚ in a finitely generated group G.

A Generalization of an Addition Theorem of Kneser
The authors prove the following unusual generalization of Kneser's theorem on the cardinality of sumsets in commutative groups. Let \(E\subset K\) be fields, \(A,B\) finite dimensional subspaces of \(K\) over \(E\). Assume that every algebraic element in \(K\) is separable over \(E\).

A generalization of Kneser's Addition Theorem
For an additive Abelian group \(G\) let \(A,B\subseteq G\) and \(g\in G\). The sumset of \(A\) and \(B\) is the set \(A+B :=\{a+b: a\in A, b\in B\}\) and \(g+A= A+g:= \{g\}+A\). Any set of the form \(g+A\) is called a shift of \(A\). The stabilizer of \(A\) is defined by \(\text{stab}(A):=\{g\in G: g+A= A\}\).

A Bibliometric Analysis of Publications in Uremic Toxins From 1991 to 2024
ABSTRACT Background Uremic toxins are a growing area of research in nephrology, with significant implications in the progression and treatment of chronic kidney disease (CKD) and the management of end‐stage kidney disease (ESKD). This bibliometric analysis aims to evaluate the global research trends, key contributors, and the impact of publications in ...
