Superstability of $m$-additive maps on complete non--Archimedean spaces [PDF]

open access: yesSahand Communications in Mathematical Analysis, 2015
The stability problem of the functional equation was conjectured by Ulam and was solved by Hyers in the case of additive mapping. Baker et al. investigated the superstability of the functional equation from a vector space to real numbers. In this paper ...

Calabi–Yau structures on (quasi-)bisymplectic algebras

open access: yesForum of Mathematics, Sigma, 2023
We show that relative Calabi–Yau structures on noncommutative moment maps give rise to (quasi-)bisymplectic structures, as introduced by Crawley-Boevey–Etingof–Ginzburg (in the additive case) and Van den Bergh (in the multiplicative case). We prove along

Revisiting solidification microstructure selection maps in the frame of additive manufacturing

open access: yes, 2020
Understanding microstructural development in additive manufacturing under highly non-equilibrium cooling conditions and the consequent effects on mechanical properties of the final component is critical for accelerating industrial adoption of these ...

Symmetric Reverse n-Derivations on Ideals of Semiprime Rings

open access: yesAxioms
This paper focuses on examining a new type of n-additive map called the symmetric reverse n-derivation. As implied by its name, it combines the ideas of n-additive maps and reverse derivations, with a 1-reverse derivation being the ordinary reverse ...

Additive Realizations of Asymptotically Additive Set Maps

open access: yesCommunications in Mathematical Physics
Given a countable discrete amenable group, we study conditions under which a set map into a Banach space (or more generally, a complete semi-normed space) can be realized as the ergodic sum of a vector under a group representation, such that the realization is asymptotically indistinguishable from the original map.

Upacicalcet: A Novel Intravenous Calcimimetic Agent for Patients Undergoing Hemodialysis With Secondary Hyperparathyroidism

open access: yesTherapeutic Apheresis and Dialysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Secondary hyperparathyroidism (SHPT) is a common complication in patients receiving maintenance dialysis, driven by calcium and phosphate metabolism disturbances. Calcimimetics are central to the management of SHPT by enhancing calcium‐sensing receptor sensitivity and reducing parathyroid hormone secretion.

Assessing printability maps in additive manufacturing of metal alloys

open access: yesActa Materialia, 2019
We propose a methodology for predicting the printability of an alloy, subject to laser powder bed fusion additive manufacturing. Regions in the process space associated with keyhole formation, balling, and lack of fusion are assumed to be strong ...

Adjunctive Therapeutic Plasma Exchange in Refractory Adult‐Onset Still's Disease Complicated by Secondary Macrophage Activation Syndrome: A Single‐Center Experience

open access: yesTherapeutic Apheresis and Dialysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Introduction Adult‐onset Still's disease (AOSD) complicated by macrophage activation syndrome (MAS) carries substantial mortality. The role of therapeutic plasma exchange (TPE) remains uncertain. Methods We retrospectively analyzed patients with AOSD‐MAS treated with TPE at a single‐center.

Habitat suitability map of Ixodes ricinus tick in France using multi-criteria analysis

open access: yesGeospatial Health, 2022
The tick Ixodes ricinus is widely distributed across Europe and is responsible for the transmission of several pathogens to humans and animals. In this study, we used a knowledge-based method to map variations in habitat suitability for I. ricinus ticks
