De Rerum Natura: How Do Halide Perovskites Self‐Heal From Damage?

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
How can lead‐halide‐perovskites self‐heal after damage from light, heat, mechanical strain, or radiation? We show that reversible chemical defects underly performance losses and recovery, highlighting the roles of halide and proton migration, redox‐driven reactions, and acid‐base equilibria.

Reliability of transversus abdominis thickness and inter-recti distance during forced expiration with limb adduction in primiparous women following vaginal delivery

open access: yesBMC Pregnancy and Childbirth
Introduction The postpartum period involves significant biomechanical changes that impact maternal health, particularly in the activation of the transversus abdominis (TrA) and the inter-recti distance (IRD), which may contribute to lumbo-pelvic ...

Relationship between glenohumeral horizontal abduction angle and scapular internal rotation angle at maximum shoulder external rotation during baseball pitching

open access: yesJSES International
Background: Increased scapulothoracic (ST) internal rotation at maximum external rotation (MER) during baseball pitching can decrease glenohumeral (GH) horizontal adduction, leading to excessive GH horizontal abduction. However, few studies have examined

Inter‐Atomic Synergy on Single‐Atom Alloy Promotes Cyclohexanone Oxime Electrosynthesis

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Electrosynthesis of cyclohexanone oxime using renewable electricity offers a greener alternative to traditional energy‐intensive methods. Here, we develop a Fe1Bi single‐atom alloy that delivers 70.9% Faradaic efficiency and 0.94 mmol cm−2 h−1 yield rate through the atomic‐scale synergistic mechanism.

Acoustic, aerodynamic, and vibrational effects of ventricular folds adduction in an ex vivo experiment

open access: yesLaryngoscope Investigative Otolaryngology
Objectives The excessive adduction of ventricular folds has been observed in patients with dysphonia and professional singers. Whether these changes in the ventricular folds are the cause or just a result of disease progression remains unclear, and their

Suppressing Metal–Molecule Charge Transfer With a Phosphorus Interlayer

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Phosphorus forms stable reconstructions with remarkable properties on various metal substrates. Here, using a spectroscopic approach, its role as an effective buffer layer on Cu(110) is demonstrated, preventing charge transfer to adsorbed Zn‐tetraphenylporphyrins (ZnTPP).

NIR‐Activated Ag2S Quantum Dots for Efficient Broad‐Spectrum Antibacterial and Biofilm Disruption

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
This study presents a novel non‐antibiotic strategy leveraging NIR‐activated Ag2S QDs for synergistic PTT/PDT. The platform degrades the protective extracellular matrix via localized hyperthermia, facilitating deep penetration and ROS‐induced oxidative damage.

Light‐Programmable Interfaces: From Molecular Photoswitching to Adaptive Membrane Separations

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
This review advances an interface‐centered framework for light‐responsive membranes, linking molecular photoswitches (azobenzene (AZO), spiropyran (SP), diarylethene (DAE), donor–acceptor Stenhouse adducts (DASA), photoacid) to integration strategies in polymeric, porous, self‐assembled, and mixed‐matrix systems.
