Hepatoid adenocarcinoma in the lung
Lung Cancer, 2002We have experienced a very rare case of hepatoid adenocarcinoma in the lung. A 55-year-old male with a history of smoking was diagnosed as adenocarcinoma of the right S2, and underwent resection of the right upper lobe and dissection of the hilum and mediastinal lymph nodes (complete resection).

Multicentricity of Adenocarcinoma of the Lung
Chest, 1989In a consecutive series of 62 lung resections for bronchogenic adenocarcinoma, 12 patients (19 percent) were found to have two or more adenocarcinomas on careful pathologic examination. These tumors all met the criteria for separate primary malignancy. In only two of the patients were the additional lesions suspected preoperatively.

Lung adenocarcinoma is the most prevalent type of lung cancer with a high incidence and mortality worldwide. Metastasis is the major cause of high death rate in lung cancer and the potential mechanism of lung adenocarcinoma metastasis remains indistinct.

Macrophages in lung adenocarcinoma
11.01 - Lung cancer, 2021Lung cancer is the most lethal cancer worldwide, and its epidemic appears to be on a continuous rise despite smoking prevention and cessation programs. It is generally believed that inflammation alters the microenvironment of tobacco carcinogen-mutated respiratory epithelial cells, fostering their survival and sustained growth instead of their ...

Giant cell adenocarcinoma of the lung [PDF]
The 63 giant cell adenocarcinomas of the lung which were found among 592 primary lung carcinomas in 25,785 necropsies during the period from 1945 through 1957 at the Los Angeles County Hospital were studied in detail by histochemical methods. These tumors constitute 10.3% of the primary pulmonary lung carcinomas in this group.

Adenocarcinoma of the lung with metatarsal metastasis
The Journal of Foot and Ankle Surgery, 1996Foot pain is a most unusual presentation of metastatic malignancy. Metastases to the hands or feet (acrometastases) have been recognized in only a few cases. A 68-year-old male, with a history of chronic gout, presented with left foot pain for 3 months duration.

Combined Choriocarcinoma and Adenocarcinoma of the Lung
Acta Pathologica Japonica, 1989Combined choriocarcinoma and adenocarcinoma in the lung of a 71‐year‐old Japanese male is reported. In the upper lobe of the right lung (S1+ 2), a choriocarcinoma coexisted with an adenocarcinoma, but distinct metastatic lesions were noticed separately in the lungs, kidney, bone marrow and lymph nodes.

The development and progression of adenocarcinoma of the lung
1994This chapter has briefly reviewed the development and progression of peripheral-type adenocarcinoma of the lung, focusing particularly on bronchioloalveolar carcinoma consisting of the nonmucus-producing cell type with or without sclerosis. Histoloical examination reveals that scar cancers are rare except in cases of diffuse pulmonary fibrosis and that

Minimally Invasive Adenocarcinomas of the Lung
Advances in Anatomic Pathology, 2009Current World Health Organization (WHO) classification of lung adenocarcinomas includes noninvasive bronchioloalveolar carcinoma (BAC) and several patterns of invasive adenocarcinoma. The most common is a mixed subtype of adenocarcinoma. This group is very heterogenous and includes a wide spectrum of tumors ranging from adenocarcinomas with a dominant ...
