Sweat gland adenomas: Immunohistochemical study with emphasis on myoepithelial differentiation
Journal of Cutaneous Pathology, 1993Thirty‐one dermal appendage tumors of sweat gland differentiation including 7 spiradenomas (SPA), 8 cylindromas (CYL), 8 acrospiromas (ACS), and 8 chondroid syringomas (CS) were analyzed using antibodies to epithelial membrane antigen (EMA), cytokeratin (AE1, AE3, CAM 5.2, 34BE12), S‐100 protein, actin (ACT), and desmin (DBS) to characterize the ...

PLEOMORPHIC SWEAT-GLAND ADENOMA OF THE FOOT
The Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery. British volume, 1950The clinical and pathological features of a pedunculated tumour of the left foot in a woman aged eighty-three years are recorded. The tumour had been present for forty years. Histologically, its pleomorphic structure was that of the "mixed tumour" of salivary gland with predominance of the myo-epithelial element.

Nodular hidradenoma: An eccrine sweat gland analog of pleomorphic adenomas of salivary gland origin
Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, 1987A tumor of eccrine sweat gland origin is described that bears a striking resemblance to pleomorphic adenomas of salivary gland. Upon closer examination, the tumor contained areas of apocrine decapitation secretory activity, primitive hair follicles, and melanin pigmentation, indicating cutaneous rather than mucosal origin.

Mitotic figures in sweat gland adenomas
Journal of Cutaneous Pathology, 1987Mitotic rates (mitotic figures per 10 400X fields) were determined for 115 sweat gland adenomas. The observations were also combined for all lesions within each category of adenoma. The combined mitotic rates of spiradenoma, cylindroma, syringoma, and chondroid syringoma were each less than 1.0.

AbstractA 56‐year‐old man presented with a subcutaneous mass adjacent to the sternoclavicular joint region, which had predominant spindle‐shaped myoepithelial cells and a small number of tubular or trabecular epithelial cells that resembled eccrine differentiation under a light microscope. Immunohistochemical studies showed positive staining for muscle‐

Immunohistochemical distribution of carbonic anhydrase II (CA) in mixed tumours and adenomas of sweat gland origin and in sebaceous adenomas was demonstrated by the PAP method. Normal sweat glands, both eccrine and apocrine, clear cells of the secretory coils, and ductal epithelial cells all showed conspicuous staining for CA, and sebaceous glands were

Mixed type sweat gland adenoma: a case report.
Annali italiani di medicina interna : organo ufficiale della Societa italiana di medicina interna, 1993We describe a case of a young woman with inguinal sweat-gland adenoma, that had histological characteristics of both hidradenoma papilliferum and clear-cell hidradenoma. The neoplastic risk potential for the 2 conditions is discussed.

Encysted Tubular Sweat Gland Adenoma of the Nasal Ala: A Rare Cause for Unilateral Nasal Discharge
The LaryngoscopeBenign cutaneous apocrine sweat gland adenomas in the nose are rare. We present the novel case of a nasal ala cutaneous sweat gland lesion. A 43‐year‐old male presents with a one year history of a right nostril mass with intermittent clear discharge, triggered by periods of hot weather and increased humidity.

[Rare localization of a small sweat gland adenoma of the skin].
Handchirurgie, 1982This case report of a chondroid syringoma (t. h.) arising in a finger is of interest because of the unusual site, its usual location being the region of the head and neck. Characteristically it is benign, slow growing and compresses adjoining structures.
