Hepatocellular adenoma is one of the benign tumors which may occur in the liver. Solitary adenoma is more frequent in women, especially associated with the use of oral contraceptives or anabolic steroids. Glycogen storage disease and mutation of HNF1A gene are associated with an increased incidence of adenomas.

Alveolar adenoma of the lung is a rare benign neoplasm with proliferation of alveolar epithelium and septal mesenchyme. This unusual neoplasm presents as a solitary mass on chest roentgenograms, especially in older, asymptomatic patients. We report a case of this unusual neoplasm and describe the histologic and radiographic features of this tumor ...

Ampullary adenoma is a premalignant lesion involving the major papilla and surrounding mucosa of the second duodenum. These lesions may arise sporadically or in the setting of familial adenomatous polyposis syndrome. Ampullary adenoma may be found because of symptoms, at the time of adenomatous polyposis syndrome surveillance, or incidentally when ...

Pituitary, 2006
Thyrotropin (TSH) adenomas are uncommon tumors of the anterior pituitary. Clinically, they may present with hyperthyroidism, hypothyroidism, hypopituitarism, or visual loss. Proper diagnosis requires appropriate neuroendocrine evaluation. Although transsphenoidal surgery remains the first-line treatment, adjuvant medical therapy is frequently required ...

Treatment of pituitary adenomas can be pharmacologic or surgical. First- line treatment of prolactinomas is usually medical, using either bromocriptine or cabergoline. Other symptomatic pituitary adenomas typically should be treated with transsphenoidal surgery. Radiation therapy can be adjunctive for residual or recurrent tumor.

Hepatocellular adenomas are benign tumours in the liver with the potential for bleeding and malignant transformation. The risk of bleeding and malignant transformation depends on gender, size, and molecular and imaging subtypes. In this review, diagnosis and treatment of hepatocellular adenomas are discussed.
